Great Product

I have a vacation home with line voltage thermostats and was unable to find a wifi thermostat that would work. Now I remotely turn on heater from home the night before. When I arrive the cabin is warm enough to enjoy as soon as we arrive.

Coolest heater ever!

This heater is amazing. I have been using it in a sun room that has no heat and it has made this room into my favorite room in the house. The unit is great looking and fits in easily with any decor. It has several heat options. I particularly like the Eco option. The coolest part about this heater is that it can be controlled from anywhere using an app on your phone. I received this heater for free, but I would buy it for sure. It is an exceptional heater.

Fuzzy Warmth-Loving Techies, You Need This!

I received the Holmes Wemo-Enabled, Extra Large Room Heater about a month ago, as a sample product to try. I am a self-proclaimed cheapskate, and would not shell out the $120-200 I have seen these heaters listed for. My husband is the household techie, though, and I do believe someone with a passion for technology like he has would be curious enough to purchase one of these. When we got the heater, we were excited. The heater is not too heavy, but I wouldn't call it a space-saver, either. It's a good-sized heater, but looks the appropriate size for what it does, which is to heat an extra large space!! At first glance, I was thrown off by the old-school look of the heater. It has faux-wood finish, which reminded me of a pair of giant 80's stereo speakers Mom and Dad used to have in our living room when we were kids. The color of the heater doesn't bother me personally, but a potential customer may be turned off by the lack of color options. I would guess most people would like the heater to be a solid color, all black, all white, etc. Aesthetics aside, the rest of the heater looked sleek, modern, and user-friendly. What I greatly enjoyed about the heater, is that you do have the option to use it on the low-tech setting, which you do by simply plugging the heater in. You also have the option to remote-operate your heater with wifi! Right away, I was hit with a very gentle but effective blast of not too-dry heat. It was very comforting. The heater also comes with very easy-to-follow instructions on how install and run the Wemo app. The Wemo app itself is brightly colored and very user-friendly, you swipe to follow each step, and once you've installed the app and wifi key, it allows you to use the heater when you're not at home. I did get confused while trying to enter the wifi password. I couldn't find in the instructions what wifi password we were to use, and there wasn't a password included in the instructions. I tried to use our personal pass code, but to no avail. Other than that, we enjoyed the heater, and found it easy to use. I'm a more simple girl, and don't think I'd use the Wemo app to use the heater very often. I would be ok just plugging it in, pushing a button, and unplugging it when I leave. I don't see the absolute need to operate a heater remotely. My guess is some people have a small pet they might want to keep warm while they're out for the day. We also have a very small dog, but she's happy to sleep under a mountain blankets. If I had the choice to purchase the Holmes heater myself, I wouldn't. It's just too much money for me. But if you're a techie, and enjoy trying out new toys, I think you would enjoy this heater very much!!!

Excellent product!

This heater does an excellent job of quickly and efficiently heating up a room. My favorite thing about this heater is how quiet it is, even on the highest setting. I have had heaters before that were extremely loud and annoying. You can barely tell that this heater is on. The wheels make moving this heater easy. The heater is a little heavy so the wheels come in handy. A handle of some kind would have been a feature that could have made this heater even better. The design of the heater looks a little older, but I prefer that look to a more contemporary look of many of the devices available these days. This was my first time using a wemo enabled device and I was impressed with how easy the process was. I was able to download the app and connect for the first time in less than five minutes. The app lets you control the device from your smartphone which is an excellent feature to offer. Overall this is an excellent heater with added features that make using and controlling the device simple. I received this product as a sample to review.

Good heater with nice features

I really like the app feature to control this heater. It does a good job of heating a mid-size room. Pros: easy to maneuver, nice to control from anywhere, contains a thermostat for temperature control. Cons: this heater is pretty huge. It is the size of a small table. The case of faux wood grain was really ugly and made the heater look old and clunky, even though it is a very modern and up to date product. Note I received this product as a sample in exchange for rating and reviewing it.

Great energy saver!

The Holmes Wemo Smart Heater was sent to me to sample and review. I am pleased to say this product did not disappoint. It heats up a large room very quickly. If you are near the unit the effect is immediate. The Smart feature lets you program the unit to come on when you come home or turn it off from your phone if you've left it on. This is a great way to save money and energy. We use this all the time in our rooms that don't hear up as well.
