Love it except for one thing

We have had this range for about one year. I like it very much except for the control knobs. They turn much too easily. We have accidentally turned a burner on many times when reaching above to use the microwave. It is also very easy to accidentally turn the burner temp up/down when standing at the stove to stir a pot. Don't know what fix there could be for this, but just be aware.

4 glaring issues; 1: the two front burning only have one heat - max. Even low boils water. 2: lettering of dials is removed by simple washing. 3: only one oven cleans when cycled for cleaning. 4: oven selection and setting confusing.
After 2 technicians and multiple parts replacement I am being still stuck with the same issues.
Absolutely no joy in owning this range.

Dumb Design probs, performance is fine.

I am wondering if someone who actually cooks designed this oven/stove. Some design flaws, If I buy a double oven it is because I'm preparing for large group and need to cook different things at once. They should have included more metal grates for the oven. The small stove burners in the back are a bad idea if I've got a large pot on the front & need to simultaneously prepare something using small burners (cannot reach over without burning myself, just not convenient nor a smart design); the small burners should have been placed towards front of cooktop. Also, the fan cover toward back of stovetop is not easily removable(I don't know if removable at all) to clean under. Things get in there and you should be able to remove to clean it & under it. Otherwise I like the double oven.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Fire hazard

I’ve had this oven for 2 years. The dials on front will turn on with the slightest touch. I had two instances where a package on the stovetop melted and almost caught fire. You can’t hear a click when the dials are moved and you can’t see the red light warning a burner is on.

BAD KNOBS FOR CHILDREN!

I love my new stove, except the cooktop isn’t my favorite, story for another time. Why are the control knobs NOT child safe??? Or my stove is defective. The knobs easily turn without having to push them in. My 3 year old grandson has turned the cooktop on a number of times. When visiting, we have to block access to the stove which is difficult with an open kitchen. I’ve also accidentally changed a setting while cooking just because I touched the knob while stirring something. This is a serious safety hazard! I’ve been looking for child safe replacement knobs but can’t find any for my model stove. LG engineers made a huge mistake with the knob controls, or my stove is defective.

Just less than a year

1. 11 months old and the round plastic piece under the control knob for the oven broke, and voila, cannot use the oven. Customer service too close to an hour to finally have them believe this needed in home service and not something we can self repair. 2. Wish I had realized upon purchase that there was no overlap on the sides to sit on top of the counter, like my old “drop-in” oven had, to prevent food from going between. 3. How do you properly clean the rear vent? If it lifted up, that would be great, but it does not.
I hope this helps others to weigh their decisions more carefully.

The dream oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I go into much detail about this range I’d first like to state how gorgeous it is! Yes it’s so fancy and I’m very proud of it! From the color to the design, this oven is very appealing and certainly catches the eye. It’s true, this appliance is smudge &finger proof. You can certainly tell it’s a high quality oven and built well. I can bake faster and cook faster, especially boiling. Foods taste better because heat is distributed more evenly.
I love that it’s so easy to wipe off and clean when I’m done using. Plus the fact it has a self cleaning that only takes 10 minutes! The outside of the oven doesn’t get hot, which was a big deal for me with kids.
Knobs on the front is so handy.
Complete with 5 burners.
Tons of space in each oven and it lines up perfectly with my counter. Has a smart app that’s so easy to navigate, that’s where you will access self cleaning or get diagnostics.
