This is one of my new favorite appliances in my kitchen. I love the dual temperature feature that allows me to store more than one type of wine at the same time. Definitely recommend!

Was really hoping for more than 2 years of life

Following flooding from Hurricane Harvey, we had to renovate our entire first floor. We had our NewAir AWR-290DB 2-zone wine cooler installed in May 2018 after the cabinetry and painting was done. A beautiful unit that is sleek. For the last several weeks, it has been making a buzzing sound, but 2 weeks ago, it seems the entire upper zone stopped working and stopped cooling our white wines while we were out of town for a week. When we came home, the upper zone temperature said 68 degrees even though we have always had it at 45. Unfortunately, at least 2 expensive bottles of white had turned and we are concerned the other bottles of white have been compromised as well. Thankfully the lower zone which holds the reds maintains at least 55. Really disappointed that one of the motors went out so soon and will call Newair on Monday. Will update the review after we touch base with customer service

I am attached to this wine cooler! It has an elegant design that elevates the space you put it in. One of the biggest plus for me is that it is quiet! It is able to hold a good number of wine bottles in two different temperature settings, perfect for both red and white wines. You can also adjust the levels of the racks based on the size of your wine bottles. The set-up was a breeze and not complicated at all! Overall, love the product and highly recommend!

Malfunctioning after 2.5 years

This worked great at first. The different zones let me chill white wine to a lower temperature. However, about 2.5 years after it was purchased, it began beeping continuously and the temperature control began flashing at 32 degrees F. We immediately opened up the fridge thinking it may could have frozen/cracked/exploded the bottles. We found the white wine compartment had stopped cooling. No idea how to troubleshoot this as it's not a "standard problem", but we did try keeping it unplugged overnight and try plugging it into other outlets with the same result. If the longevity is only 2 years, it's ridiculous considering how much it cost up front. Also, unless you're storing 29 bottles of dessert wine, this fridge in no way is equipped to store 29 bottles as advertised. I tried a variety of configurations and only came up with 23-26 bottles depending on stacking ability. Without stacking, it can only hold 15 bottles.

My 15" unit looks and feels like a quality unit. Compared to several, more expensive other brands I've owned over the years .Unit maintains excellent temps for its size .
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great customer service

Christina from Newair talked me through why the upper zone of our wine fridge wasn't cooling and diagnosed the problem as being either a temperature or compressor switch. She was kind enough to send me the replacement parts with instruction manuals as a one time courtesy, so am hopeful this does the trick! During a time like this, it was great to be able to speak to someone live in addition to rapid communication about our problem by e-mail.
