[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop came with my new house and so far it has been performing well. No complaint besides the metal top grill, the coating wears off quickly from pans sliding on top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my new Whirlpool Gas Stovetop 36" 5 burner for 4 weeks now. The various sized burners are very different to get used to, but the more I get used to it, the more I like it. I'm pretty picky about my burners. 25+ years cooking professionally will do that to your expectations, but so far this product is a winner, AND I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to buy it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like that the cook top grates are on hinges, they flip up and rest against the backsplash which makes cleaning so much easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I converted to gas in October and wasn’t sure if it was for me, the flames were too high and I could cook an egg on simmer but thanks to google and my wonderful husband we learned how to adjust the flames and I absolutely love my stovetop now!

Poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a house from the builder and this cooktop was part of the selling. The only and a major design concern of this cooktop is the distance between the burner and grate is a little higher than normal. This needs more GAS consumption to heat the vessel and takes time for cooking than usual
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove-top is very well made. I like the EZ-2-Lift grates. The controls are easy to use. Burners light up quickly, easily. My only complaint is that 'low' seems to be equivalent to a 'medium' on an electric stove. There is only one burner on the stove that will actually simmer something and it is the tiny one in the back. Every other burner keeps the food at a rolling boil. I use heavy Calphalon aluminum pans.

Why is electrical plug needed?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooktop itself is awesome. Large and small burners, easy to clean out pan under removable grates. But why is it necessary to have AC power to the cooktop. The only function I can think of is the igniters. My grill uses a battery to power the igniters. I have only had to change the battery once in 5 years. Using a battery for the igniters would make installation easier and save manufacturing costs.
