Extremely poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was installed in our brand new home. The first time my wife used this product the heat completely melted the knobs. We are extremely lucky she noticed it before she tried to turn the knob off with her hand. She could have been badly burned. The safety team acted like it was operator error! Unbelievable Do Not buy this product! It’s extremely dangerous
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great cooktop, crappy melting knobs

I really like my cooktop, but the knobs are set to close to the burners, and melt. When I ordered it the photo looked like the knob area was slanted away from the burners, but it isn't.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First time gas cooktop user

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came with our new house, and everyone raves about gas so I was excited to use it. I have been cooking on a ceramic smooth cooktop pretty much my whole life. Everyone thinks gas is so much faster, but I haven't felt that way yet. Even on the rapid boil middle burner, it still takes 15 minutes or so to boil a pot of water for pasta. I guess my ceramic cooktops had been far superior to other cheap electric stoves. I just expected it to cook things faster like I'd been hearing for years.
I love the way it looks in my kitchen and it works great so no complaints.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sleek design, works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit came with the builders appliance package. It was the modern look we wanted. It works great with even flame on all the burners. The one drawback to this design is the stainless steel drip area under the grates scratches very, very easily. When we moved in we noticed it had large scratches that occurred during the installation/cleanup. The builder also warned us that it scratches very easily but agreed to replace it. Why design a finish that scratches easily for an area that requires regular cleaning after use? Good design must include not only aesthetics but functionality and ease of use.

Poor quality overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Burners are way too heavy, aluminum burners around the cooking are easily moving don’t stay put; want to clean them but very hard, the handle to start the ignition got melted on right side …overall is a very hard product for the market, focus in friendly and user easy product please.

Looks great

I have been using it for 2 months now. looks great, heat range is good. One of the knobs melted! like what? I also don’t like that when you light a burner, all the burners spark at the same time not just the burner you are using which caused me to zap myself while cleaning it. Ouch! If they replace the knobs with tougher ones then I’ll be happy if not then it’s a pass.

melting knobs - I need to find stainless replaceme

New high end home with counter gas whirlpool cooktop. All works great except minor happened after 6 months of use. It was a terrible design to have plastic knobs that are higher than the cast iron grates. We melted a knob and are now looking for stainless steel replacements. We also struggle with being able to lower the heat enough since there is not an option for on/off super low simmer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
