The only thing I dislike is having to slam the dryer door to get it to stay shut. Is this normal?

Good enough but annoying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer/dryer unit to replace the one that was in the house when I bought it over ten years ago. It's pretty much the same but has some fancier cycle settings. It works fine and the washer tub is slightly larger, but I have two complaints:
1. The washer won't run at all unless the lid is closed. I used to be able to let it start filling with water and use that to rinse the liquid detergent cup. Now I have to rinse it in a sink.
2. The dryer latch is very tight, meaning i have to slam it to get it closed. I'm hoping it will loosen up over time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a nice stacked combo of washer & dryer. However it has some deficiencies. The washer vibrates quite a bit during its washing cycle. It vibrates more than I think it should. The dryer has a really tight closing mechanism, you have to slam the opening door in order to close it. Overall the clothes come out looking & feeling nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer works well, but the dryer takes hours to dry clothes, even on the highest settings. It was aet up by the retailer where I purchased it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
