[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleans well but noisy and vibrates on spin. Dryer doesn't have a timed low heat setting. Sensor dry seems to go way beyond dry and overheats clothes. We have to do all clothes on delicate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lacking Options

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review compares our new Whirlpool stack which replaces a Maytag Neptune front load stack which was purchased 24 years ago, and now requires a new timer. Several loads have been washed / dried and the Whirlpool is working as designed. These are my thoughts relating to the new unit, compared to our old Maytag.
1. Less flexibility of wash cycles - Old Maytag had option of extra rinse cycle as well as option of high speed spin which this Whirlpool does not. Unit seems very hard on clothes for cycles except delicate and causal which have low spin speeds, and long dry times. I will note you can run an extra cycle of drain and spin to provide shorter dry times.
2. Total absence of sound deadening - Unit is very noisy during normal operation, with clacks and bangs. Even closing the dryer door requires a slam for the plastic latch to catch which is probably about 90 decibels, with the door being hollow.
3. Absence of option for tone or buzz when program is finished, and no light in dryer.
4. Control knob for wash cycles works very smoothly, dryer control knob feels like it’s stirring a bucket of elastic bands in sand.
While I understand if you save $5 on 10,000 washers during production you have an extra $50,000 in profit, you are charging a premium price at retail and I could have purchased a GE for approximately $500 less. Truth is, I thought we were purchasing a premium machine with this Whirlpool. Four or five extra dollars spent in features and sound deadening quality would go a long way to convince us we had.
I am giving 4 stars, as the product is working as it was designed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased in January, Dryer does not stop or fully complete its cycle. You have sent 2 different repairs companies who have not resolved the issue. I do not have this problem with GE.
