Awful... Just Awful

We have this combo machine in our apartment and it's the bane of my existence. There is a gap under the lint trap in the dryer that catches clothing when running and completely ruins whatever that may be. It's gotten to the point where I am hang drying anything of value. They should be including garment bags with the machines - if you put anything in there without one it's doomed.
It's not uncommon either. You may think I am overloading it, i'm not. I had five (yes, five) cloth napkins in the dryer and lo and behold one was caught under the lint trap and ruined when the cycle completed.
It's a horrible design flaw and i'm amazed Whirlpool is still selling these machines. It's even more amazing that people are buying this thing. I don't get how this didn't come up when testing the product. Look at the reviews for similar products, same issue. There are more comments here that speak to the same issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great features and easy to use

we bought this machine in January 2018. we moves our laundry upstairs from the basement. Yes the drier door does open a little hard but what new door does not open hard for a while, love the machine.

The dispenser for fabric softener is inside the agitator. Every time I use it, I end up with blue liquid spread around the upper inside of the drum where has been slung out. I can’t put it in before the rinse cycle because door is locked from start to finish. Very Poor Design!! Otherwise, machine cleans my clothes so I’m between satisfied and unsatisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Full Size in Small Space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought to replace a stackable unit in our beach condo. I need a full size and was worried this would not fit in our small laundry space (the model that did fit was no longer available and this one was a little deeper). Luckily it did fit. It has great features and so far so good. I was only there a week but did several loads and it worked well and pretty quiet. My only complaint is that the dryer door is hard to open and close. I guess the latch is really tight but hopefully with loosen just a bit with time. Overall very happy with the purchase.
