[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only problem I have is the door for the dryer is very hard to open. I have to use a rubber pad to open the door. That is the only problem.

Bad experience
on October 30, 2025
Posted by: Donna
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a brand new house and the stacked laundry center was included in my purchase. That was over a month ago and the washing machine still doesn't work. It took a month to get the service company out to even inspect it and I was told the part is on backorder so I'm probably looking at another month with no washing machine. Whirlpool had the opportunity to replace it since it was brand new, but they refused saying they needed someone to look at it. Very unimpressed with this product and their position on making good on selling a defective machine.

2 critical failures

The quality of this equipment has been highly unsatisfactory. Over four years, we faced two critical failures—the transmission and shock absorbers—with repair costs reaching 60% of the initial purchase price.

NOT HAPPY - NO WATER LEVEL OPTION
on December 18, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I DON'T LIKE THE FACT THAT THERE IS NOT A WATER LEVEL OPTION. I DON'T LIKE THE SENSOR OF WATER LEVEL. NOT ENOUGH WATER TO REMOVE LAUNDRY SOAP; THEREFORE, A SECOND RINSE CYCLE NEEDED.

Thank you for sharing your insights with us. We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Washer. Modern, high-efficiency (HE) and non-agitator washers use less water by design for improved performance and energy savings. If you believe the water level is too low, consider these solutions: 1. Check Cycle and Modifiers: Water use is determined by the selected cycle and modifiers (Soil Level, Spin Speed, Temperature). Customize these settings, noting that not all options are available with every cycle. 2. Water Level Selection (If Applicable): Auto Sensing: Turn the knob to Auto Sensing to let the washer automatically determine the level based on load size for efficient use. Deep Water Wash: Select Deep Water Wash for the maximum water volume, ideal for bulky or heavily soiled items. NOTE: This increases overall cycle time. 3. The Bulky Cycle: The Bulky Cycle uses a unique series of fills combined with agitation for large, absorbent items. It may initially look like there's insufficient water, but the washer will continue to add water and agitate for up to 10–12 minutes to reach the optimal level. Intentional pauses also occur for specialized action. 4. Non-Agitator (Impeller) Models: These HE models use a low-water wash plate system and automatically adjust the water level. Loading: Load items in loose, evenly distributed heaps around the wash plate, leaving the center uncovered. Do Not Add Water: Manually adding water is crucial to avoid, as too much water causes clothes to float, reducing the necessary friction and cleaning effectiveness of the impeller. Load settling is normal. 5. Recalibration: If water levels seem consistently lower over time, running the Clean Washer cycle (with recommended affresh® cleaner) re-calibrates the control board and resets the machine to factory water levels. Run this maintenance cycle about once a month. Gift for My Wife...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I might have made a mistake. The Washer / Dryer combo has great looks and seems to function as described. I think it important to share the following concerns: The washer lid is very heavy and held open by a magnet. You must hold it with one hand as you close it. If you let go, make sure your hands are clear of the opening or you will experience the pain of it falling on you. Please be aware that both the water level and the drying time are automatic. We are experimenting on how to control this attribute better. We now keep the instruction book handy because the Washer / Dryer instructions are underneath the washer lid. You have to get on your knees to read them (see photo). Crazy. It would be nice to have a dryer alarm to alert you for no-iron clothes.

DO NOT ORDER FROM WHIRLPOOL
on July 8, 2020
Posted by: S. S.
I ordered a fridge and washer and dryer from whirlpool and it took FOUR deliveries (over a week in between orders) because they were delivered damaged! Three broken fridges and finally the fourth one worked...we were out a working fridge for weeks. The FOURTH washer and dryer they delivered was damaged then out of stock. This company is the biggest joke and biggest waste of my time. Their customer service line is a two hour wait every time to reorder AND at the end of the day they did NOTHING to fix the mess they caused. DO NOT ORDER FROM WHIRLPOOL.
