Ice maker is noisy & spits ice all over the floor

Refrigerator is brand new. The ice maker is extremely noisy and it spits ice all over the floor. Crushed ice is the worst. Ice maker was replaced yesterday under warranty. Nothing changed. The technician agreed and noted it on the service order.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hey. I love this fridge. I purchased the last one at my local appliance small business (not from a big box store) The ice maker is fine. All ice makers make noise. You hear the motor and the water filling into the mechanism. Like every other ice maker on the planet. Too many reviews made it seem like the ice maker was broken or something. If one reads and follows the directions, and practices some patience when waiting for the first beautiful cubes to be made they will not be disappointed. Aside from the ice maker, my food is more safe and fresh than it has ever been. I love my Bosch and I hope it stands the test of time.

INSTRUCTIONS AND INTERIOR DESIGN

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The water and ice dispenser is agood size, allow large receptacle to fit This is my second model and like the redesigned dispenser very much. I am disappointed that the meat drawer was eliminated. Perhaps it was removed to allow more open height storage. In myopinion, that was a mistake. The meat drawer was very convenient. Now any meat that can be refrigerated for a day or so must be laid on a shelf. The space labeled as a shelf NO. 9 is a mystery. I am using it for storage of cold cuts. Again the meat drqwer would have been preferred. My biggest complint is the labeling of the functions for the temperature and dispenser. The letterring is much too small. I needed a magnifying glass to read them with the aid of my glasses. The lettering on a black surface doesn't help either. This is my second model. It was necesarry to purchase the same model because of a counter design requiring the dimensions of this model. I would have preferred to replace with the same white design but not available so settled for stainless. The manual is not cosumer friendly. I found the technical description difficult to interpret. It would be helpful to compose a manual that is wirtten for the average person. It was frustrating to find answeres to my questions and located the sections in the manual needed for a particualr fact. I am a retired research librarian and found this manual to be overly technical. A manual is needed that is written for the average consumer with logical instructions. We are not all engineers. I think that Bosch should aintain the engineering expertise, but write explanations and information at a level that matches the level of comphrehension of the audience. My previous model needed a replacement of the door because the water line is one piece and broke. A two section water line could have been repaired. The loud noise of ice forming is annoying, but aceptable as a necesarry function. All in all, bosch should mesh the technical skill with consumer needs such as larger print on surface instructions, design of function geared to the everyday use of the refrigerator.
