Disastrous Ice Water Dispenser

We just bought a new place and were very excited that I had Bosch appliances as we had them in the past and were very happy with them. Unfortunately that has not been the case with this refrigerator due to a very poor design/bad Bosch design which has created a huge problem for all owners of this appliance. As stated on many of the reviews here, the ice flies all over the place regarless of how careful you are when you are dispensing it and the controls are very tidious to manage. The right thing here would be for Bosch to come with a true retrofit to replace this ice maker with one that actually works. DO NOT BUY THIS APPLIANCE and I would be very leary in the future of purchasing any other Bosch appliances.

The worst water and ice dispenser Refrigerator

My builder install the refrigerator that they use and is the worst water and ice dispenser. It does not matter which one we use it all flys all over. The ice dispenser is the worst because we have hard wood floors and the constant water on the floor and having to pick up the ice should not happen.
The service advisor came to our house and he said nothing that could be done. VERY disappointed

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently completed a complete kitchen remodel. I had a rather long wish list, particularly for the range, double oven, and dishwasher. I was impressed to see that Bosch appliances were attractive, well made and were equipped with all of the features that were most important to me. I ordered five Bosch appliances, including this refrigerator. I selected the refrigerator because at the time it was the only one available that was counter depth with a water and ice dispenser. Unfortunately, I was so sold on the quality of the other Bosch appliances that I didn’t read the refrigerator reviews. The appliances have been installed since June and I love all of them, except the refrigerator.
The ice dispenser shoots ice in all directions. It is not possible for the ice to fall into a standard size cup or glass without spillage. I have taken to keeping a jumbo size, red plastic Solo cup near my sink. I use the plastic cup to collect ice from the dispenser, and I hold my hands on either side of the cup rim to attempt to block wayward ice cubes. This procedure never works perfectly. Also, the tray at the bottom has the most minimal indentation. A single melted cube of ice (typically a cube or two fall out long after I have moved away from the refrigerator), or a few extra belated drops of water (also not unusual) regularly result in a water trail down the refrigerator onto my new floor. I am constantly wiping the refrigerator and floor, and as I cannot depend on the rest my family to do the same, there are constantly small puddles of water in front of the refrigerator.
I find it annoying that there is no meat/cheese drawer, and no option to purchase one. I would like the option of additional shelves on the door to hold jams, etc., and there are no brackets available for additional shelves.

Poorly Built and disappointing for a Bosch

The ice maker is extremely messy so I shut it off. The water filter is leaking after 1 month of use. Terrible quality. The shelves are not entirely adjustable and you are left with inadequate use of space.
It's poorly constructed Although I registered the refrigerator for a warranty, the company requires a certificate of occupany to send a repair techinician. Seriously!!! Absolutely terrible. Not what I expected from this company at all and highly disappointed.

Noisy ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very noisy ice maker and the ice spills out onto the floor. My guest even ask " what's that noise"? My response, it's the refrigerator. My wife asked me if we paid extra for the noise!

Problems with Less than One Year of Ownership

(1) Having read online reviews about a noisy Ice Maker, I ignored those as something I can live with in a refrigerator. Tumbling ice. Nope. The ice maker makes a whiring-grinding loud sound. (2) No water dispensing from the water dispenser. Reason: The water line running through the freezer door is frozen and this requires replacement of the entire door. The door is on back order. (3) The fridge side door will pop open when shutting the freezer door and it also pops open when shutting the fridge side door. This is because the fridge side door appears to be mounted incorrectly. A tech tried adjusting, but same result. Recommendation: Do not buy.

So far so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great refrigerator so far. One thing that is a little unusual is the bump out in the back at the top on the fridge side. Otherwise, great fridge/freezer.

Screaming Monster Ice Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great refrig from the perspective of looks and storage. ICE MAKER sucks ... we had motor replaced no improvement another service guy came out and said that is the way it is designed. Wakes us up at night in a 2,600 sq ft home!!!!!!!
