[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We downsized our home so we bought the 300 Series Counter depth side by side. Fits our space but turns out its a tad too small when we have guests over. Also the lock button is super sensitive, my husband hits it just grabbing the door handle to open the fridge or freezer. Ice maker is a bit loud when it fills with water and dumps the ice.

Just Awful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, i didn't have the opportunity to pick my refrigerator because it came with the new house that i bought. What a horrible fridge. We've had it for 8 months, the entire freezer door had to be replaced, because there isn't enough insulation in the door and the water kept freezing and would not dispense from the front door. The ice maker, OMG, i've never heard anything this loud. Did the engineers at Bosch actually say "yeah, we're super proud of this one"? Just horrible. It sounds like a prop plane flying overhead. And the duration of the ice cube tray spinning to dispense ice into the bucket is just insane. It's so small, as are most counter depth refrigerators, but the bins are so shallow and so inconvenient to use (you have to literally open the doors fully to have a chance at getting stuff from the bins. If this is German engineering, I'll go back to Korean made stuff. I'm so disap;pointed, because the rest of the kitchen is all Bosch and they work amazingly well, including their dishwasher and awesome induction cooktop. (you need an induction cooktop..can boild water in a huge pot in 2 mins or less!!). Overall, don't even consider this one. Just run away.

Loud and Limited Space

Not impressed. First of all, the ice maker is extremely loud. There are many reviews stating this, and unfortunately we didn't pay enough attention to them. We did get the ice maker replaced under warranty, and it did reduce the decibels by 10, but it's still quite loud. The ice maker also spits ice on the floor no matter how careful you are.
The other issue that is extremely annoying is that you can't even use the entire shelf in the refrigerator. Because of the shelves on the door, you must have things a couple inches back from the edge in order to close the door. Space is limited enough, but that's just annoying. The bottom crisper drawer is also very small.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ice maker never worked right

First, it does not matter if you press crushed or cubed ice, it always gives a combination of both. Second, the ice maker makes loud ( so loud that guests have said "what is that loud sound?") grinding type sounds that last over a minute. The sound comes on even when no ice is being dispensed. I should have called service right away but a friend told me that her Bosch ice maker never worked either. Could someone at Bosch tell me if this is actually works?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The WORST ice maker

We have a 3,400 square foot house and the ice maker can be heard throughout the house. At night it literally wakes us up as it is so noisy. It has been replaced once and the noise issue is still there. For a company that prides itself on it's quiet appliances, this is total unacceptable. Bosch need to redesign the ice maker and replace them in ALL refrigerators.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE HAVE MY REFRIGERATOR WAKE ME UP AT ALL TIMES OF THE NIGHT!!!!!! THE ICE UNIT IS PLASTIC AND BECAUSE OF ITS LOCATION HAS NO SOUND INSULATION.
At this price, I would have expected a quality appliance and nothing but the best from the Bosch Engineers.
Terribly disappointed and can't wait to get rid of it!!!!! Truely a lemon design!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It works, but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty fridge, but there is no tray under the water/ice dispenser, so there always seems to have a puddle running down the door. When dispensing ice, the ice really flies everywhere adding to the puddles on the floor. The ice maker is also very loud, so loud I am worried that it might be broken. Inside the only problem I’ve had is that the recommended temperature froze and cracked the eggs and curdled the yogurt and sour cream.
A repair tech will be here in a few days to replace the door handle that came with a deep scratch. Hopefully he can check on the ice maker too.

Great Brand and Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned several appliances of this brand, I can describe this refrigerator and Brand as "Polished". Side-by-side designs may not be as hip in 2019, but they are way more efficient. This model has an array of knooks and crannies to store and absorb a huge amount of food. Water filter is accessible and water comes out COLD. This ice maker actually works as compared to many other designs/brands and keeps up with demand. It is obnoxiously loud when it refills but it's worth the trade off. The unit is otherwise silent and looks gorgeous.

Bad icemaker

Only makes a few ice cubes a day. Waiting to get a new ice maker in my NEW frig. Doesn't instill much confidence.
