First Order Star Destroyer

I love this Lego set a lot. I saved up for it, and when I got it I had a wonderful building experience. Wonderful Minifigures, play features, design, and stickers. One problem though- I wish that the stud shooters on the wings were posable, because facing down and one direction doesn't impose fear on the resistance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This set is great for both adults and kids as it looks very sleek so is good on display as well as having play features and a good interior. This makes it a very good set

The Finalizer?

If it is in fact The Finalizer.
The set is pretty cool, I didn’t think it would be so big, I haven’t had any of the previous star destroyers from years prior and thought it had some potential to be underwhelming from pictures of those other sets.
But this is really cool, the amount of detail is amazing.
There’s some interesting play features, the stud shooters on the side are alright, there’s an elevator feature to reach what can be a command bridge or Snokes chambers.
I had a couple of the different first order battle packs from the force awakens line and the latest one, I would recommend these for additional crew as the set only comes with a few figures.
Though they are nice ones, Snoke is unique, they got his golden bathrobe done in an interesting way of printing, BB-9E makes an appearance too which is great.
The shuttle pilot has a helmet mould I like a lot but the crewman body is so overused and boring but it works.
The officer figure is done in a cool gun metal grey colour and has a good face print.
And lastly a couple storm troopers, one is a squad leader as he has a pauldron.
The build itself has a lot of nice detail on the hull, it feels sturdy too and has a great carrying handle.
Back to the space inside, you can’t expect too much room for what it is but I wanted to fit all my first order figures in somehow..
I took out the elevator feature, popped out the cylinder piece and found space behind it to pop 3-4 stormtroopers.
I found it difficult to have Snoke in his chamber, he needs to lay back in order for the top to close.
Some modifications I made were additional plates and small bits of detail to the hull but also a gun rack to accomodate the weapons of the additional officers & troops I added.
All in all I’m very satisfied but a few more figures would have been nice, it looks so empty without the battlepack dudes.

Great Addition

This is a big brute of a ship. Similar to earlier Star Destroyer designs, but partcially improved ascetically.
The minifig selection is excellent, and there is loads of space within to position the figures different ways and to include loads more.
The interior bridge looks amazing, it's just the open panels that look bad, but that is unavoidable.
When closed and placed on a display stand there is a great sense of weight and First Order dominance to this piece.

Nice build

This is my first big lego set. Overall is great, bigger than I expected. The minifig selection is quite poor but the detailed interior makes it up. The ship is estethically pleasing and easy to maneuver through the handle which seemed preety loose in the beginning but after you get used to it you will realize it us not gonna break

This set was given to me as a Christmas present. I had my eye on this set for a while but was unsure if I would enjoy it. And the price tag was too steep for me to make that gamble. In short I’m glad I received it, and can say with confidence that this is a must have for Star Wars collectors.
What I was unsure about was the exterior for display purposes. By pictures and YouTube reviews the exterior of the ship just looked bland. But now I can say that they don’t do it justice. I knew the interior was awesome looking and jammed packed with features but that’s not how I would display it.
It’s a pretty decent size and the Technic carry handle is a nice touch. It can be moved with ease without the fear of it falling into pieces.
I’d say my favorite part of the build is completing the rear engines. They have enough detail to look attractive, but not too much detail that a bunch of tiny pieces fall off while being handled.
Hats off to LEGO for yet another awesome Star Wars set I’m proud to have added to my collection.
