Excellent, but not without problems

I got this set for Christmas and was very excited. I had not gotten any Force Awakens sets due to the great Ninjago sets that year, so this range is a good opportunity to get the vehicles and characters.
Minifigures
Snoke, an exclusive figure
Stormtrooper Seargent p, exclusive
BB-9E, in two sets
Pilot, in two sets
Stormtrooper, in over ten sets
Build
The build was fun but took a while, 3 1/4 hrs.
Model
This model is very large and also very accurate. It has a full interior, and eight stud shooter cannons on the exterior. However, many of the parts on the lower hull panel fall off when the model is opened and closed.
Parts
There are good parts in this set. One of my favorites is the hologram.
Pros
Big Accurate Detailed interior Supreme Leader Snoke minifigure
Cons
Fragile Stud Shooters can’t turn
All in all, it is a great set, but I would recommend strengthening the hull panels. I also reccommmend the First Order Speeder Battle Pack for more crew.

Hi there! Thanks for a great review. It seems that a Jedi is using the Force from a distance to stop the cannons from moving, but thankfully the triggers still allow the ship to shoot down any resistance troop X-Wing ships. General Hux seems to be at another point in this battle and you could find him in our First Order Heavy Scout Walker™ 75177 and Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle™ 75104 if you would like to add him to your collection. Happy Building and may the Force be with you!

First Order Star Destroyer

This was my first major build since the FO Scout Walker last year, and I had a lot of fun with it! It took me about 5 hours and 30 minutes to build, and was overall not super challenging. The array of moving parts and the detail in the interior is superb, and I don’t feel like the whole ship is going to break when I fold the top open or closed!

A joyous follow-on from 2014's Imperial Destroyer
on December 31, 2017

To start; this is a fantastic set, a general good all rounder.
To begin with I had my misgivings about this set, it bore many similarities to 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer and I wasn't sure whether I could warrant the expense. I need not have concerned myself, this set is an unbelievable improvement upon 75055.
The build, yes is similar, but then there are only one or two ways to construct a Star Destroyer, but the manner in which it is held together, the way in which sections come together, is unrivalled by 75055.
The Exterior is covered in greebling to denote the super-structure of the Resurgent Class Destroyer, and the bridge is remarkable in its appearance based upon the on-film version.
What I loved however about the exterior was the manner in which the interior is accessed. You no longer have to remove a large section to unfold the central section; no it is merely a flip up and open. This removes any concerns of breaking pieces (as has happened to my 75055 on several occasions)
Then, we get to the interior and my word, this is where this set truly comes alive. We have a conference room, throne room, technical display control room, and the fully kitted out bridge. This is simply miles ahead of 75055, which by comparison looks pretty sparse and unpleasant.
The minifigures are excellent, and yes I have the usual gripe of it would have been nice to have had one or two more. I would have loved to have had a Praetorian Guard included which with the inclusion of Snoke, would have made sense. I am surprised that there has not yet been a Praetorian Guard released in minifigure format, but then maybe LEGO are waiting for a future set.... Please LEGO hear my prayers...
But, in all honesty, I think LEGO did a wonderful job with these minifigures, based upon those released in previous sets of this size and calibre.
Overall, I cannot recommend this set enough! I simply wish I had brought two to have assembled a small fleet! Those of you who, like me, have the 75055, should not worry about getting this set. It is different enough to warrant, and a vast improvement on 75055. I imagine, like the First Order fleet itself, that all vessels have had major upgrades in their design and the LEGO Fleet is NO exception!
My only plea is for a minifigure Praetorian Guard! Please Lego...

Good Set

Very nice looking set and has a great variety of mini-figs. Will be a very nice display piece and also with the interior, though it's pretty limited, I'm sure my niece's and nephew will love it. As with pretty much all Star Wars ships though it is kinda a boring build because of the symmetry. Overall happy with it though.

Great Set

Love this set! Great for play and display! The build was challenging and rewarding. The shape and design of the exterior is unique and beautiful and the interior is large and spacious. When finished the model is quite heavy and delicate which can make it a little hard to play with but it is durable enough for a child to play with. If you’re buying this set for play you may want to consider this, however if you’re buying purely for display you won’t be disappointed.

As soon as I saw it on the shelf I knew I needed it for my collection. The build looks awesome and the interior of the ship looks great. My favorite part of the set is the Snoke minifigure. Building the destroyer was fun and not to challenging, great for any Lego fans!

Where do I begin...

Alright then where do I begin. This build is awesome, not only is there a fair amount of interior spacebut it also looks great! From the built up exterior levels to the turbo engine, I was not dissapointed. And don´t forget the now official snoke figure and the black BB8 aswell. Inside the ship is a walkway, throne, turbo lift and computer room. To sum it all up I say great set with decent figures.
