Complete in every way

Yes, this set is expensive, but, in my opinion, it is entirely worth it. The set meets every single one of my expectations.
-It looks great. Even if you don't plan on playing with the set, it has excellent display value. -The build is fun and unique. -It's absolutely packed with features that are well executed but very discrete. LEGO did a great job of hiding the functions in such a way that they don't interfere with the aesthetic of the set.
I was initially turned off by the price, but am now fully convinced that it is worth every penny. This is now one of my favorite LEGO sets. Period.

This set is amazing

The set may seem expensive for the amount of pieces but it is worth every cent! The bombing feature is really enjoyable and has a great interior. I believe lego has done a great job recreating a very memorable ship from the Last Jedi Trailer. The set has an interesting build and is very strong and swooshable. The side guns can be annoying because sometime they are not lined up perfectly but that's probably just me that gets annoyed by that. The mini figures are great and have very fine details especially on the bombardiers. Overall this is one of my favorite Star Wars sets!

Resistance bomber last jedi (SPOILERS)

From the second I saw the JANGBRICKS review of this set, this one instantly caught my eye. I like learning about military history and this set reminded me of old ww2 bomber planes eg. Lancaster. Although in the movie they get destroyed easily by the First Order resulting in the loss of all resistance bombers at the battle at the start. The bomb mechanism is amazing to put together and works really well. There is a lot of building at angles which I don't really mind. The action features don't stick out and ruin the coloring of the set. The figures in the set aren't all on resistance bombers in the film but I'm glad we get the vice admiral and Poe. This is also a great way to get pilots for other sets eg. Resistance x wing.
On the whole in my opinion this is the best Last Jedi set and I look forward to see what new ships the resistance get in episode 9.

One of the best sets in a long while!!

My daughter has built nearly 100 different Star Wars sets over the last year or so — she's about to turn 6. This Bomber is easily one of our favorites. Not only is it a fun build but it is fun to play with. A lot of sets that are fun builds are difficult play with because they break apart easily. This one really holds together well and has SO many interactive features like the clear rotating turrets with movable blasters. The BEST part, though, is th whole “bombing” mechanism! The Bomber holds 6 round black marble-shaped bombs that one loads through movable doors on top. Then, there’s a large lever she can press while holding the ship in her hands that releases the bombs to drop out the bottom one by one. VERY clever!! She plays with this Bomber much more even than more expensive sets like the Millennium Falcon! I hope Lego can build more Star Wars sets like this with interactive mechanisms more complex than just the missile shooters that come on most sets.

Too delicate
on September 2, 2017

We own a lot of Star Wars ships and this is the most delicate. Our kids specifically wanted this ship for the bomb feature (which is great and works well). They love dropping them on their other ships. However, while they fly this resistance bomber around, many different parts keep falling off. They are not rough kids . We have referenced back to the manual many times to see how to reattach them. It is disappointing.
On a positive note, the minifigures are great. The pilots have amazing detail and Vice Admiral Holdo is a great figure.

Just like you, I have enjoyed the bombing feature from this Star Wars ship. It is a unique feature that is not found in any other Star Wars set (at least that I can remember or locate).
In regards to durability I have not been able to recreate your concerns even with rough play. The key question would be what parts are falling off? The base of the ship is built like a handle and is extremely stable. If anything is falling off here I would recommend rebuilding. There are many antennas and blasters on the ship though and if you strike these I could see them popping off.
Either way it would be good to get additional information about what exactly your little builder is experiencing. If you do get the opportunity please share additional information via phone, chat or email with a member of our Consumer Services team.

The biggest Lego gamble of my life?
on January 13, 2018

This was the biggest Lego gamble I have ever taken. But boy did it pay off!
The build itself was very enjoyable and the end result is very sturdy. There are only a few bits that are slightly unsecure like the bottom gun on the front of the ship. There is lots of interior space being in the cockpit and the bombadeer control centre. Speaking of bombs, the bomb dropping feature works smoothly and quickly but there could have been a few more bombs included. The turrets swivel with the ship well and the ship itself is very swooshable. The spring loaded missiles are hidden away nicely which I greatly appreciate as I hate the tails poking out!
But the thing that gets me most, is the level of detail. Absolutely incredible!
The minifigures are great, especially the pilots. But, six seats, five minifigures. Why?!
