Smart concept, brilliant sound!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I ordered these I wondered what they were like because I thought portable speakers for one person was a strange concept. I only ever had portable Bluetooth speakers to cater toward group settings. When I slid the Soundgear around my neck and turned it on, I no longer thought it was strange. They are surround sound, and the quality is awesome. I was wondering if the speaker would be disruptive to people around me if I was listening to them (i.e. in the house) but what's cool is that they sound crisp when on your neck but much more silent further away than expected; the sound sort of runs through you. They're not too heavy, but weighted enough where they're stable and comfortable around your neck.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing Sound !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the awesome opportunity to review this product and I'm so happy that I did! The quality on this is spectacular! It feels/sounds like i have headphones on, the bass was what sealed the deal for me. The sound coming out is crisp,well balanced, and also very lightweight! It's practically a portable surround sound system on your neck! The only thing that i wasn't really to happy about is that it doesn't have a adjustable band, even though it fits perfect I just wish that it had that option..Other than that, This is a Must Buy!

Immersive Sound!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound on this product is phenomenal. Battery life reached about 6 hours. The actual device did not feel as comfortable around my neck. The device felt tight around my neck. It also felt uncomfortable when I would lay my head against a pillow or the back of a chair. I was also a little worried having to stretch it out to be able to put it on.

Good sound... Not for all music types

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Soundgear is a product that will not be for everyone. I had high hopes for this speaker and it delivers in some parts but fails in others.
The construction feels great and has a premium feel to it. I have a larger neck and I was able to wear the SoundGear without any problems or fattigue for multiple hours at a time.
When it comes to the audio quality, the experience will vary depending on the music genre you are listening to. Music with a lot of bass feels weak since the SoundGear does not have a lot of bass or punch. I enjoy deep bass and like to feel the impact on music that has bass. Music that does not depend on the bass sounds extremely good and the highs are very clear! When on a phone call, the audio is loud and clear on both sides of the call. Controls are simple to get used to and have good feedback when pressed. It would be nice to get more battery out of the set and 6 hours is enough to get me through a day at work. I just need to make sure that I charge them once I get home so they can be ready for tomorrow. I connected 2 phones to the Soundgear and had no issues playing music from either device. Just stop the music on one phone and hit play on the other. No need to unpair and pair them everytime I want to change devices.
The JBL Soundgear is the first pair of speakers I own of this type and I have to say it is a new experience and it is definetly something that everyone who likes listening to music must experience. It is nice to be able hear your music on the go and be aware of your surroundings without having to stop the music or take off your headphones. For all the types of music I enjoy, the Soundgear is not enough. It would be nice if future revisions come with more bass or a setting/app that will allow you to manage the sound. Using the EQ settings on my phone was not enough to get the sound I wanted on songs that have bass.

Really cool product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this product I honestly didnt know what to expect. But when i used it, I immediately fell in love with it. It is so comfortable, sound quality is amazing, and its only loud music to the user. Yeah other people around can hear what you are listening to, but the music is low for them to really listen to it. For the user, you cant here anything anyone is saying if u have it on full blast. Its great for chilling around the house without blasting music or me personally go snowboarding and listen to music without having to lug around a big speaker. Overall, great product

Great sound, battery life, and comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Soundgear is a great wearable device that really shines when you're doing tasks around the house. I use mine when I am doing the dishes, cooking, cleaning, and even mowing the lawn. You can even set them down and use them as a normal Bluetooth speaker when you don't want the Soundgear around your neck. The only minor issue with them, is that they're so sensitive to sound they pick up on white noise from your device when they're anticipating sound.
