Solid 4k Capture/pass through

I've had this card since launch and it is amazing. The capture utility is able to be used while the card is feeding OBS also so I don't lose any moments and don't have to have multiple capture cards and a convoluted setup to get great captures for use on videos independent of my live stream

Beast of a capture card
on November 23, 2020

I use this to capture gameplay from not only my gaming PC but also my nintendo switch, xbox, NES, and original N64. It handles all of these easily. The hardest part of the setup was getting my gaming PC to work easily with this as I use an HDMI 4x2 Matrix to easily split signals from the game devices to the PC and TV. Otherwise, install was a breeze and the software is really intuitive. My only gripe is that I wish that I didn't have to restart when I switch out of an HDCP application like Netflix.

Great product needs firmware update for Xbox ser x

Awesome capture card that’s not perfect. Needs firmware update to run Xbox series x at 1440p 120 FPS. Useing in conjunction with wave 1 or 3 and wavelink, the capture software needs to be open to link into wavelink for game audio. The capture card itself is fantastic but the software is very buggy when recording and streaming at 1440p 120. It works but must fiddle with it to just work every time. Com on Elgato, wow us with a firmware update to correct this known issue.

Easy to install - Great quality

Bought my elgato 4k60 mk2 about two months ago, and i went from using a hd60 to the 4k60. Since i use a 1440p monitor the hd60 forced me to play games in 1080p, making my gaming experience pixelated. When i got the 4k60 pro, everything changed! No more pixelated game experiences! Super easy to install and the quailty is great.
Now to the reason it gets 4 stars. I have the issue where when i start up a fullscreen game, sometimes the capture card distorts the colors or split the video.
I am pretty sure its an error with software, and not hardware and i am not done investigating!
All in all, 100% worth the money, and i now use my hd60 to capture my camera feed (bye avermedia capture card)

Excellent quality with some limitations

I've had issues with this card but I have sorted them out now. It records excellent quality in 4K or below depending how you want to passthrough. The issues with this card for me is that it does not work well with SLI setups. This applies to the HD60S+ as well. I think it's unacceptable to have to remove a card to get optimal performance. I never see any reviewers mention this limitation. I couldn't record in 4K at all. I had to remove a card, redo drivers and wipe windows clean again to get everything finally running.

and form factor. It is a great size within my PC tower and was incredibly simple to set up. I love being able to record console gameplay in 4K HDR with a few simple clicks. The multi-app functionality as well has been fantastic for recording raw 4K gameplay while streaming at 1080p. This capture card will be future proof, and perfect for many years to come with the PS5 and Xbox Series X release.

I bought this card after using the avermedia live gamer 4k to capture(record) above 60hz as it states. It does not do so.

Hi Adam,
The Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 supports input and capture of resolutions such as 4K60, 1440p144, 1080p240 and many others.
When using the 4K60 Pro MK.2 in the Elgato 4K Capture Utility software, the capture frame rate is limited by the software to 60 frames per second.
If you use the 4K60 Pro MK.2 in other software such as OBS Studio, you can capture the full frame rate as desired.
We hope this helps!
Best regards, - Elgato
