Top Quality, Reliable!

This is one of the most important things I use in my setup as it's what lets my viewers see direct gameplay capture from my Xbox One X with quick, clean results up to 4K60fps. This way I get to game in 4K and send a 1080 signal to my stream in OBS. You can also capture raw gameplay using the 4K Capture Utility in 4K60 HDR. Whether you want to capture content from your console, or have a 2 PC setup and want to capture your gaming PC without putting stress on your streaming PC, this card is literally flawless. Again, I can't stress this enough, if you ever run into issues with this card, make sure your Game Capture HD and 4K Capture Utility are updated and all firmware for your devices are up to date as well! I've myself have made that mistake and don't want you to also!

Design is cool, Capture experience is terrible

I was head over heels exited when I purchased this product, the price point was and is high but I thought it would be worth it for the product I am receiving. I had issues since DAY 1 (I've had it for almost 2 years). With trial and error I was able to setup my display settings properly (fair enough). but there is 0 excuse for all the technical issues I have received, between crazy colored screens, consistent image displacements and the software simply not working - like, installing it, "opening it" and having no real window displaying leading me to write this review, I changed a setting on the application today as this was a rare ocasion it actually opened and allowed me to change settings, doing so it has display locked my monitor before I was going to start a stream and now conveniently the application wont open, even after 3 restarts and a fresh install of the 4k60 software. I have purchased the original Elgato, the Elgato HD60 and now this one, I have never had more issues then with this product here, and really has swayed my once good opinion of Elgato and their products. It shouldn't be a running joke to say "L"gato when my game capture messes up. Dont believe me? here are photos. I want to keep my bias for Elgato but these years using the 4K60 has me rethinking entirely. At a certain point you get tired of fighting for your product to work, I have had many great streams with this game capture when it works, but when it doesnt work its on another level of frustrating - and even when it works, I run into constant issues distracting me from the stream its self.

While our software doesn't record HDR with AMD GPUs others can. E.g. OBS - please contact our Support on how to disable tonemapping first: help.elgato.com - and then follow these steps for OBS: Click on the “Settings” button in the control dock.
Open the “Advanced” tab
Under the “Video” section, select “P010 (10 bits 4:2:0, 2 planes)”
Set the color space to “REC 2100 (PQ)”
Set the color range to “Full”
Click on “Apply”

I use 3 4K60 Pro MK.2 capture cards for my content creation. One to capture my Xbox video, one for my PC game play and one for a DSLR camera. I am very picky about the video quality of the content I produce and the 4K60 Pro M.2 does it beautifully. I receive many compliments on how amazing the video quality is. I capture at 1440p 144HZ and have had zero issues with the software or hardware. You cant go wrong with this capture card.

Cheeky little upgrade from HD60 Pro

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac.
After upgrading to an Xbox One X and a 4K OLED HDR TV, I wanted to play in 4K HDR and still stream in 1080p, the 4K60 Pro MK.2 offers all that and more.
Super easy to install, simply unplugged my HD60 Pro and slotted in the 4K60 Pro, boom ,done in seconds.
No obvious increase in Stream quality, However, the fact that I could play in 4K while streaming AND recording in 4K was the reason to upgrade, add the fact it utilized the NVENC of my RTX to provided solid and consistent performance justified the upgrade.

More powerful than expected

I bought this because it was capable of duplicating the capture into two separate programs. This is hugely beneficial for me, I am taking one star off because it does not work well with the suggested 4K capture utility program from elgato with a huge amount of RAM and CPU usage.
Pros, plug and play 4K capture, great color and audio. Price is awesome and the drivers are easy to update.
Cons, sometimes the software can get a little buggy and periodically the card needs to be deactivated and reactivated for my 2080 to recognize the monitor / capture card as a “monitor.”

Great for Recording Ps4, Switch or any HDMI Device

An Over Great product used this many a time for recording PS4, Switch, and The Xbox.
I would highly recommend this device, it's built solidly and works like a dream, I've never had any issues with it!
It's very simple and if you do have any issues, there are many videos online ie youtube or perfect staff that would help you out.
Overall 5/5 for me.
