Great clean look!

Beautiful refrigerator, with one exception...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a new home in a new housing development. Part of our negotiation was to include the refrigerator and washer/dryer package. I chose the French doors, and my first impression was that it is so beautiful! There is a lot of space in the fridge and freezer sections, and I love the drawers. Unfortunately, we started to notice that the water leaked! It wasn't a lot, just a small drip from time-to-time. I noticed it when the tray was full of water and dripped down the front of my refrigerator. This was within the first couple of days after we moved into our new home. I thought that somebody had overfilled their glass, and didn't clean up the tray. We figured out that it started after we started using the water dispenser. I would place a folded paper towel on top of the tray, and a couple of hours later, it was soaking wet. I contacted Whirlpool so that it could be repaired. The soonest they could have someone come to my home was a week later. The man showed up, filled two glasses of water, and said "Yep, I know exactly what needs to be done. This is a known issue." Said he had to order the part and will be back. Another week, or so, went by without any word. I contacted the repair man, and his voicemail said he was out on medical leave and to contact Whirlpool. I contacted Whirlpool Customer Service, and the person I spoke to didn't know about the issue, and gave me the name of another certified repair service and asked me to contact them. When I called the service, they would not help me because the refrigerator is under warranty, and told me to call Whirlpool. I called them back, and was able to schedule another visit for a week later. Two guys came out, did the same as the first guy, looked in the back and inside the refrigerator, and then said they had to order the part. More than two weeks have gone by, and the repair still has not happened! I called Whirlpool again, and again had a long wait time until my call was answered (this was the longest at an hour). The Customer Service person put me on hold while she called the service repair company, and what a coincidence, the part had arrived today! They are scheduled to come by tomorrow, and I'm hoping the leak is fixed.
This took way way way too long to be addressed. This refrigerator was moved in to our home a week before we closed on 5/15/2020. It is now 7/7/2020, and I am still waiting for the leak to be fixed. And according to one of the repair guys, this is a known problem with the water dispenser. If it is a known problem, why isn't it addressed prior to delivery? Or, addressed at the time of delivery and set up?

Good But Not Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it's a good refrigerator but there are some shortcomings. It froze soda cans when placed on the top shelf near the icemaker (set at 40). The drawers don't slide freely. The water fill is noisy. Ice cubes sometimes melt and refreeze, clogging it up. It's a little loud when it's running. The door alarm is set to on but does not sound. It's good but definitely not a premium model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice design and finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was bought new with our newly built home. It is very nice. I like that the finish is easy to clean and doesn't leave smudges. I would prefer that the chime when the doors are left open, sound louder.

New French door refrigerator/freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appliance is great--lots of room in sides. Only thing missing is a crushed ice dispenser--other unit had one, and we used it frequently. Did not know this one had none.

Holds more than I thought it would

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we replaced our 2 year old refrigerator that continually had problems... so far this one is working well...we do have a issue with the ice maker...sometimes the ice drawer gets loose and then no ice is being made. We have to push it back into place to get ice... like the freezer space.
