My favorite can opener ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a replacement electric can opener and I am so glad I got this one! In addition to being very sleek it also does a great job holding cans in place while running and will keep it there until you release the handle. The magnet works great even on heavy lids. The opener is easy to remove by pushing the button on the top so you can wash it anytime. There is also a bottle opener that is stored in the back of the opener and the cord can be stored in the opener so it is not all over your counter top. This can opener works great and leaves a smooth surface on the can so you don't have to worry about cutting your fingers. The motor is very quiet and so easy to operate. I am looking forward to using this can opener for many years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to struggle to line up my cans and use my old can opener. I always fumbled around and had to readjust. Now it’s so easy with my Hamilton Beach can opener I just hold the can close and pull the long lever down. No problem! I love the ease of cleaning the head with just the push of a button it pops right off. It’s a great stainless steel design which I also love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually can openers are no big deal, but this one is. It's quiet, opens even tall cans with no problem and is just what I needed. Big added plus - it's beautiful. I was so pleased when I removed it from the box. Its streamlined taking very little counter space, but is heavy enough to open even tall cans with no problem. Love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Hamilton Beach Stainless Extra Tall Can Opener worked great right out of the box, powered thru 4 large cans of beans with no issue. The blade detaches and was easy to wash and replace. I like the extra feature of housing the cord inside the opener, but the plug doesn't slide in, and sticks out causing it to not fit up against the back splash on my counter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with most things these days, the instructions were in picture form only so a little unclear. The magnet that holds the lid of a can is not adjustable to hold smaller cans. I Have only been using hand can openers for the past 25 years, so not sure if the lid should be as jagged after being opened or not: I do like the cord storage feature and the fact that you can remove and clean the top of the opener where the blade is. Also the extra opener included for bottles, etc is handy, especially for flipping the lever up on those cans you don’t need an opener on. I have not had the opportunity to try the plastic cutter yet. Overall, I’d say this was just a normal opener .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First let me say that I have not owned an electric can opener in probably 25 years. I gave up on them because they rarely worked like I felt they should. Also, I’ve had issues with my hand-held can opener for at least the last 3 years, same problem - they just didn’t work! I was skeptical about giving the electric one another chance, but I was at my wits end when it came to trying to open a can. As they say, if we can send a man to the moon, why in the world can’t we make a can opener that will actually open cans! So, out of the box, this can opener is really pretty, if that’s important to you and I suspect that it could be. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if you only have the online picture to go by. This item is black and has both shiny and brushed chrome on it, so it should fit into any kitchen decor. I have had it for just over a week and have opened small, medium and large cans and so far, it’s like a gift from heaven. The instructions say that you don’t have to hold the cans, and that has been true. And, the nice feature about this can opener is that the cutting assembly can be removed for cleaning which I always thought you should be able to do. Oh, and this nifty little tool comes with it that can be used to open bottles and plastic bags and to lift pull tabs which seems unnecessary at first, but I actually love it and am so happy that it is included. AND, there is a knife sharpener. Looks like they thought of everything. I really don’t think you will be disappointed if you purchase one.
