Works well but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This can opener looked beautiful! I was drawn to the stainless steel look. Pleased and okay with leaving it on my counter.
That being said, I am concerned with the strength of the lever you push to start the opening process. It looks strong but it is a lightweight plastic. It felt as if it bent when I pushed it down to secure and open a can. I fear it won't last long . It may be because it is new. I will watch it in the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel Electric Can Opener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Can Opener is easy to use and it does exactly what it says it does! The cutting assembly removes and replaces easily and the magnet for holding the can actually folds in. The OpenMate Tool fits well in its own chamber on the back of the unit just above the cord storage compartment. A welcome addition to my kitchen!

Best of all the cutting blade holder is removable by button to wash goo off that always collects from opening most cans. I also love handy gadget that sits in it's own slot that is not only a bottle opener but has a blade to open those hard to open plastic packages that we all have so much trouble with

Not only does it operate smoothly but the opener part come off so I can wash all the sticky mess that get on there from sweet condensed milk and anything else. Oh and I didn't mention it has a knife sharpener across the back and a bonus opener for bottle, hard plastic packages; what can I say I LOVE IT, you will too!

This opener is easy to use and looks very modern on my counter. Also like how the tab and bottle opener all fit right in a slot on the opener. Everything I need to open any kind of can or bottle.

Great Extras!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this can opener a few days ago and it works great. I was skeptical at first because the detachable can opener head is partially made of plastic, not metal, and I wasn't sure it would stand up to extended use. So far it is doing fine.
I really like that fact that the head is detachable for cleaning - this makes cleaning it a lot easier. And it's really simple to detach and reattach.
One part that surprised me were the extra features - it has a built in knife sharpener and an "Open Mate" which opens bottles, pop top cans and cuts plastic packaging. I think the Open Mate may be my favorite part of the can opener!

Removeable Cutting Head

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The distinguishing feature of this Hamilton Beach can opener is removable cutting head assembly for easy cleaning and maintenance (can opener gears accumulate sticky residue). Another useful design aspect yet not a feature of the cutting head assembly is the floating Magnetic Lid Holder. The large floating (free movement) of the magnetic head allows for a quicker surer/confident hold on a opening can.
Another feature is the OpenMate/Multi-Tool (opens bottle tops, hard plastic packages and soda cans).
This Hamilton Beach tall can opener is traditional in overall design of brushed stainless steel and black platic which includes a knife sharpener and cord storage.
Definitely an attractive and useful addition to any kitchen.
