[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! Easy to use, can make different types of yellow rice and steam vegetables at the same time when the rice is almost done. Good for making soup. Also made cream of wheat and steel cut oatmeal and came out right. Just read your manual and you will see everything will workout right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Making rice for my family oif 6 is no longer a dreaded chore! This Hamilton Beach Cooker/Steamer was just what was needed. By following a few basic instructions and then adding a little creativity, I had perfect rice each time! No hard spots or undercooked areas and the automatic “Warm” feature at the end of the cooking time made perfect rice each time for even those that work crazy late hours! The “Hot Cereal” function made it easy for me to finally achieve perfect, from scratch, cream of wheat cereal for my husband, and was he a happy guy! The pot was easy to clean, the instructions easy to follow and the entire unit does not take up much counter space. Our next adventure will be to steam some fish and veggies and attempt risotto.

Wonderfully versatile!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gem cooks sushi rice, sticky rice, arborio rice, calasparra paella rice perfectly. Even broken rice (yes, it's a thing).To this budding home gourmet chef, short cuts and labor saving appliances such as this falls within Ina Garten's canon. Quinoa and farro are also well executed. The instructions on cooking oatmeal however gives me pause--48- 50 minutes for 21/2 cups is much longer than stovetop or microwave hot oatmeal.
I have yet to try the steamer function but this appliance promises to steam your vegetables, fish and poultry in the steamer basket while your rice or quinoa cooks away beneath it. Healthy, labor-saving and less dishes to wash!
I give it one star less because the plastic serving spoon this comes with is flimsy and awkwardly designed. I use my wood spoons instead.

It is easy to store due to its size and can cook a surprising amount of rice while steaming meat and vegetables. Great time saver. I do wish the instructions were a bit clear as I had to use chat gpt to figure out the exact water to rice ratio because the instructions are just a bit fuzzy. Other than that, great product. Very happy with my purchase.
