Unreliable

Our unit is less than 6 years old and has required minor and major service 3x. Ranging from belt replacement to a new motor. Our household does not use the washer/dryer excessively, and we regularly clean the unit. Very disappointed in the reliability. When it works, it is fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great washer/dryer combo!

Recently replaced a 25 yo washer/dryer combo that finally wore out. This unit takes 3 times the clothes and gets them cleaner than the old one. Fit our space perfectly. Needed a unitized washer/dryer because of limited space and to allow us to keep our utility sink.

After 28 years of using a Maytag unitized unit we were a little apprehensive in how our new GE unitized unit would work. After 6 months of usage: Awesome!
Outstanding clothes washing, good water usage/savings, clothes spin very dry without fabric being compromised, saves on electric drying. Overall: really like our GE unitized unit.

It washes and drys well, but the washer is very loud. Also does not have a timer that shows length of cycle and how many minutes left in the cycle.
