Does not clean clothes!

The washer does not clean my clothes! -- Especially whites, even when I use its "White" cycles and try different detergents and boosters! To "trick" it into putting enough water into the tub to cover everything in there, I first set it to "Delicates" which is the only cycle setting that puts a lot of water into the tub. Then, I hit the "Stop" button and re-set it to light, medium, heavy or whatever other setting I may want. Note: washing on the "Delicate" cycle does NOT clean clothes. So although I need to use it initially to get enough water to properly fill the tub, I do not wash on that setting. BOTTOM LINE - it is very difficult if not impossible to get things clean in this washer!!

We’d like to address the issue you’re having with the cleaning performance, and provide information about your washer.
Regarding the amount of water, we can advise that over the years the amount of allowable water used in washing machines has been reduced by the Department of Energy, who sets these standards. As washing machines have become more efficient, they use much less water and energy to get the same or higher level of cleanliness as older models. It is normal for the wash basket not to be full of water as most washers are programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size selected.
We recommend that the washer is loaded properly to ensure optimal performance. You can find recommendations for how to load your washer on page 11 of the manual; that’s linked here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--ZVqxmPjY--/9242eab720c0567e1d8d6a6a1518ce53d82fbc62.pdf. For more information about the amount of water used for your model, please visit this link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19491.
Regarding the cleaning performance, we recommend ensuring the water temperature is at least 120°F. We have more tips about what to check when clothes aren’t cleaning as well as expected in this article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18098. If you’re noticing lint or residue on clothing, we also have tips for that on page 19 of the manual.
If you continue to have an issue after troubleshooting and think service is needed, an appointment can be scheduled with one of our Bodewell technicians by calling 1-833-4BODEWELL or by visiting this site: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service.
I can't even put this in words - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GE Products - especially this washer/dryer combo. Mine broke shortly after receiving this unit. It flooded my home and now I have to fix things and run after the Service Partner who fixed the unit to get it updated so that the insurance is accepting the report and giving me HOPEFULLY some little money to get some things fixed... What a waste of money, lifetime and bad service!
Stay away from this GE waste company

I like it until the lid locked light came on and won’t go off and won’t let me start a new wash cycle. Only had it 3 days.

We'd like to assist with your new unit not starting a new wash cycle. The first step we recommend is to close the lid and reset the cycle. This unit has a safety feature that prevents agitation and spinning when the lid is up. If this doesn't help, the next step we recommend is to check the circuit breaker to make sure it hasn't tripped. If there are no issues with the circuit breaker, please reset the unit by unplugging it, wait 2 minutes, plug back in and press Start. If the issue continues, we recommend scheduling service with our Bodewell team by calling 1-833-426-3393 or online here: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
The absolute worst washer and dryer. The dryer worked for about 6 months and needed repaired. And needed repair again. Oh, and needed repaired again. It's a pain to repair, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

We are sorry to hear that your unitized washer/dryer has required service multiple times. We do however advise to continue working with our team, as we are confident that they will assist you with getting these issues resolved.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the stackable washer & dryer -it works perfectly What I HATE…the movers tore my laminated floor moving it in laundry room. They were hurried , not caring & didn’t tell me they tire my floor! I noticed the next day so what’s the point It WAS a brand new home. I have to see that ‘glued’ torn floor everyday-I hate it! It makes me mad & sad!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the full-size capacity of this unit. My major complaint is the performance with clothes. I have black marks on clothing from the dryer; I've read where others have the same issue. And then, if you have clothes with draw-strings with metal tips on the draw strings, the dryer loves to "eat those". They get caught in the plastic lining around the door and the dryer rips them off. It's frustrating - seems like the could design a better product to not do this.
