Can't stay connected

My family bought this expecting it to be amazing, but it constantly drops its internet signal, and doesn't broadcast its wifi signal consistently, sometimes making it impossible to even find the signal. Could be a defective unit, but we are not happy with it.
Also, unrelated, Netgear, add an "other" and/or "prefer not to say" choice for the REQUIRED "What is your gender?" question in order to leave a comment, or make the question optional, like the last three questions. There isn't a viable choice for me. I chose "Male" only because it forces a very uncomfortable BINARY gender choice as a requirement to leave a comment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Netgear Orbi AC3000

I was a little skeptical about this system at first. My WiFi router is upstairs next to my computer, but the TV in the living room is on the opposite side of the house. Before the Orbi system, I would average 300 mbps near the router, under 100 mbps at my TV, and around 10mbps in my garage and backyard.
After setting up the Orbi, I have everything connected to the Orbi satellite via Ethernet cable at my downstairs TV. Internet speeds average around 275mbps, plus it's now all on my home network so it doesn't slow things down as much. WiFi speeds downstairs are over 200mbps. In my garage they are around 100 mbps, backyard 50 mbps, and I even get 30mbps in the street in front of my house. Basically my WiFi speeds doubled and tripled. By far the best investiment for WiFi i have made. Couldn't be happier with this system and highly reccommend it.

I have a 2200 sq.ft. double brick 1918 house,and I'm getting the WIFI I'm paying for thru out the whole hose including the front and back yards.Great router

Worked great for 4 months

I purchased this product 4 months ago. The router just suddenly stopped working. It had happened before about a month ago and I was able to get it going again but this time it just gave out. Not worth the price. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This changed our life

Upgraded from an Archer 1750. Now have great coverage across 4000 sq ft home. Used to have dead spots in garage, playroom and master bed room. No longer any issues and have great internet without giving it a second thought!
