The Orbi Home Mesh Wifi System worked perfectly. It was very easy to install, setup and get it up and running. The WiFi connection has been very smooth after setup.

Not the best to set up

Setting up is straight forward enough with the app. However, getting the satellite to sync with the router has proven difficult. Based upon forums I visited to get suggestions, it appears I am not the only one that had this issue. A common theme seemed to be updating firmware on the router does not automatically update the satellite and then the units become out-of-sync.

Bullet Proof so far

We have had an Orbi RB50 for many years. Excellent throughput, range, and speed. We have a router and two satellites for a large rambling home. Each device (2 smart TV’s, 2 smart watches, a desktop, 2 laptops, 2 smartphones, 1 tablet) in every corner of the house gets a full signal. No logjams or bottlenecks. The tv’s are Roku. The rest of the devices are Apple. When kids come to stay from out of town we have at least 4 more devices on the network. The Netgear app makes set up easy and automatically connects each device to the closest satellite. Have not had to reboot, even once, all these years. The network has gone down 6 or 7 times due to power outages and automatically reboots and automatically redistributes each device to the nearest satellite when power returns. Looked at new 3 band WiFi 6 mesh systems but this one has been flawless so far so will stick with it for the foreseeable future. It has been so reliable that we take it for granted and forget it is there. No gamers in our home so can’t speak to that level of functionality. Not a single complaint. Highly recommend
