What we have been looking for!

If you are looking for a wireless router system to reach all corners of your house then don't hesitate on this one.
We have a 3,000sqft smart home with over 60 devices connected the internet and had issues with getting a strong signal at all devices.
This router instantly fixed that problem and took only seconds to set it up. We now have signal outside and a few houses down as well!
Additionally having Disney's circle built in was a huge win having 3 kids in the home under 8, we no longer have to worry about what they might click on with their iPad and have full visibility to every page they visit through the app.
If you want a strong signal without having to switch to extenders and has an added bonus to protect your family from unwanted sites then this is perfect for you!

My wife and I decided to 'cut the cord' and start streaming instead of having wire TV. We were disappointed of having interruptions when watching Netflix, etc, even though we were paying premium Internet service to get the highest speed available. We decided to give Orbi a try, and.. we just love it! We had not realized how much speed we were not taking advantage of up until we got Orbi. Super easy to install. Super easy to set up the location of the satellite module, which by the way allows you to have the same full Internet speed all around the house (I previously had a 'signal enhancer' that would give me more signal range, but the trade was having half the speed when connected to such device). Lastly, it looks good and modern, so no problem in placing it anywhere in the house

So far so good

Setup was pretty easy using the Netgear Orbi app. Had the Netgear CM1000 router/modem combo prior to Orbi installation. Once installed, I disabled the wifi radios from Netgear CM1000 router/modem combo by login into web browser as it was still transmitting WiFi signal. Once disabled, Orbi now does all the work and using the Netgear CM1000 as a modem only. I love the Netgear Orbi app as it allows me to see a network map and number of my connected devices. It also allows my to setup and turn off a Guest WiFi for visiting family and friends. Have seen an improvement with my wireless Direct TV boxes in reference to receiving better/faster service transmission. Prior to Orbi installation, I was experiencing too much lag and was considering switching back to coax boxes. I have held back. So far so good!!

Pleasantly suprised

Living in a long Chicago apartment, we've always had problems with wifi reaching the back of our unit. Combine that with a ton of other wifi networks competing for the same coverage, and we've never had a good wifi experience here in the city. We were very suprised when Orbi actually worked as well as advertised. And was pretty easy to use.We did have issues early on. One firmware updates not allowing our wifi password to use special characters (how the heck did that pass QA??). For a span of 2 weeks after the next update, we had our satellite drop coverage at least once a day. Even with those problems, though, I'd still recommend it. For the past year it's been smooth sailing, and far and away better than any other router I've ever used, troubleshot (shooted?), or set up for myself/family/friends.

Best, Most Reliable WiFi I've Ever Had

I am EXTREMELY happy with my Orbi. I have been slowly adding more automation to my home, and my old router was routinely dropping signal, disconnecting from my devices, and even though I set the parameters to stay on one band, it always reset itself to another. I also had to go to an obscure website in order to change the settings. I've had Orbi for over a month, and I have never once had a problem with a dropped or weak signal. I love that the settings are all accessible through the app on my phone, and when I tested the speeds, it's exactly what I'm paying for from my cable company. While it was a pricey investment, it's 100% worth it, because it makes my home automation perfectly usable and allows me to take full advantage of my broadband. I love my Orbi and would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect!

All those empty wireless areas in my home where I struggled with signal being lost or non-existent, is now over. And I now get the speed that I've been told I would have! This system was extremely easy to set up, literally plug n play, and has continued to provide very strong signal without any breaks. No more moving my laptop or devices from certain areas just to get a wireless connection. I live in a 2-story home of about 4500sf with odd angled walls, two of which are firewalls (real, not virtual) that frequently skewed or caused my signal to drop. And there was only one place where I could place my router towards one end of the home behind one of those walls. The Orbi did not disappoint - it connected flawlessly to the router. Orbi is a 5-Star and you will not be disappointed. A real keeper.

Great product

Love the new Netgear Orbi system I just put into the house. Our house is about 2400 square feet (2 stories), and the modem is located (of course) at the far end of the house on the first floor. Our bedroom is at the opposite end on the second floor. Wifi in our bedroom was always hit or miss, with slow speeds and dropping coverage constantly. Even in the room next to our router, speeds from our previous one would be in the mid-20 (mbs). A wired connection would be in the mid-90's. With the Netgear Orbi router and one satellite, I am getting speeds in the mid-60's throughout the house. Very easy to set up and use, even for a technonoob like me. Including the (automatic) downloading of updated firmware, it took about 30 minutes total to set it up and have it running. Very happy with the product.

Great system and WiFi coverage

After due diligence and searching for routers, I settled on the Orbi RBR50 system. I've never heard of this system so I was leary at first but the reviews I read are what sold me on it. I thought it may be a little overpriced and only bought it because I had several gift cards that I could use for it. After using this for about a month now, I can really see a change in internet speed throughout our hole house (2,900 sq ft) with multiple wireless devices. We have no issues when streaming TV and using iPads and cell phones at the same time. There may be other systems out there that are a little more cost effective but I'm very happy with the effectiveness of the Orbi. The only opportunity for improvement I see currently is it wasn't the easiest to setup, but once you've got that down it's smooth sailing.
