Answer To All WiFi Problems

I love Orbi so much, that every time I try to get someone to buy one, I feel like they think I work Netgear. I've never praised a product and fee as strongly as I do about Orbi. It feels the internet is significantly faster, and travels significantly farther than any other alternative I've used. It's worth every penny, and I'm not sure how or why everyone doesn't own an Orbi setup... it's really that good. So far, I've convinced my parents, my cousin (who convinced his parents), my sons friends parents, and my work to use Orbi.... every single one of them are blown away. The conference room at my work use to drop the Wifi signal... now, not only do we get full signal, we are getting 300+ megabits/second when we only pay for 300.
Thank you Orbi.

Amazing Speed and Coverage
on May 29, 2019

My old Netgear AC1200 router worked fine in a small apartment, but when we moved in to our new house we found that it was really struggling to cover all of the areas we needed it to. I decided to upgrade to the Orbi system after a frustrating night of pulling down 6 Mbps on the far corner of my couch and constantly having our AppleTV pause to buffer. After the upgrade, I am now pulling down 130 Mbps from that exact same spot, and our video streaming is consistently smooth and coming in at 1080p resolution (my next upgrade will be a 4K TV now that my router can provide the bandwidth)! Just for kicks I wanted to see what would happen in the basement underneath that spot, and I was shocked to see that it was still 120 Mbps. I am definitely happy with the early results!

Easy Setup and Great Reach

We have a 3600 sqft, two story house and always had some challenges in the far corners of our living area. Unfortunately, one of these areas is our media room that has some streaming and gaming devices in it. I've tried extenders in the past and while it worked, I still was getting QUITE A BIT OF LOSS. I got so frustrated, that I decided to bite the bullet and invest in the Orbi after extensive research.
5 minutes later, I was receiving incredible speeds in all areas of my house, including the garage which had some smart devices in it as well.
No issues at all and have really enjoyed the easy setup and customization for the Orbi.
Jury is still out on Circle, but that is a separate product and one that doesn't affect my ratings of this product specifically.

Worth every penny

My house is roughly 3400sqft 150 years old with walls that are 10' thick made of brick and plaster. Needless to say, it was built with WiFi in mind, lol. I recently replaced my Nighthawk router with the Orbi RBK50 mesh system and could not be happier about the performance. I have Spectrum service and am currently only on their base 100mbps. I am clocking consistent speeds of roughly 113 down and 12 up...ON WIFI with the orbi, and take those readings in the farthest point in the hose I can get from the router or the satellite. Amazing. I was skeptical until a coworker had told me how happy he was with his; did some research, talked to a few other folks and went for it. So glad I did. It's really a great product. I am using a Netgear CM600 modem along with the Orbi.

Excellent Internet..At last

Xfinity claimed I had 65Mbps but I measured 30Mbps and sometimes less in a 2 Floor poured concrete condo with lots of rebar using an older Apple Extreme. After changing RG6 cables, connectors not much improved so it was down to the router. I installed an ORBI with the Base unit near the cable service entrance on Floor 1 and the Satellite on Floor 2 as far removed as possible from the base. Viola! After an easy setup I now receive 70Mbps throughout the condo and outside on the patio. Streaming which had been problematical is no longer a concern. Great product with excellent results. Both units are unobtrusive and the base unit rests on a living room end table; It also connects to a MagicJack for our internet based telephone service. Absolutely no issues with my ORBI.

Blown away

Orbi is amazing! I was averaging under 100mbps with my Spectrum service, which they claimed was capable of 200mbps. My internet signal was especially poor in my basement. I tried an extender, which was pretty useless, so I returned it and decided to give Orbi a try. The set up was extremely easy, and the units look great. Now for the real test...I opened my speed app and pressed GO...214mbps! What's?!? Must be mistake, so I ran it a second time...234mbps!! I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I ran to the basement confident that even in the basement I should get 150mbps or so. I was shocked to find that there was no drop off at. I was getting the same 200+ speeds in the basement as I was on the main floor. I cannot recommend Orbi enough, it's incredible!

Ultimate Power!
on May 29, 2019

I recently purchased the NETGEAR ORBIE RBK50 because I heard it was extranet powerful. My house is made up with interior walls that are concrete. No mesh network was powerful enough to get through the walls so my WiFi internet speed was less than desirable. I do not have that problem with Orbi at all now. The satellites are extreamly powerful and I only need the router and two satellites to cover my house. With other mesh networks I needed at least 4 to 5 pieces of equipment. I love how it automatically switches between 5.0hz and 2.4hz. All my devices wereeasily connected to the network. Overall this has been an amazing product and the customer service is equally as good. I would recomend the Orbi to anyone that will listen. Thank you for delivering on a product!

Easy Setup and High Quality WiFi
on May 29, 2019

I purchased this router/satellite combination (RBK50) to expand the signal strength to my garage and back patio. It was relatively painless to set up and I was up and running in a little less than '½ hr. Signal strength is strong all over my home and outside on the back patio. So far, I'm very pleased with the performance. The web interface is pretty good as is the mobile app, so I can monitor performance easily. Also, the router is good at automatically selecting 5GHz-capable devices and separating them from 2.4GHz devices. The only issue I experienced was when I tried to do an automatic update of firmware. It took me a bit to figure out how to get everything back to normal. The next firmware update I do will be done manually as explained in Netgear's Orbi documentation.
