Great Product with Easy Set Up

We were having spotty Wifi connectivity issues throughout the house. The TV would drop and would had poor coverage in the basement.
I bought the NetGear Orbi so that we could solve these problems easily. I did a lot of research before picking the Orbi. I wanted something that had the option for on outdoor unit so we could have coverage while we were on our back deck.
The set up of the unit was very intuitive and I didn't need to call anyone to get it setup. Things were set up in about 30 minutes. I also purchased the outdoor unit but it turns out I didn't need it. I returned it to the store because the 3 units provide excellent coverage outside without the outside unit. I recommend this to anyone that needs to solve their Wifi issues easily.

Father of 3 boys

So far, Orbi is everything I want in a WiFi router. For years, I had a Cox-supplied router with an extender upstairs and the only room where I ever tested even close to the speed specified by Cox was in the same room as the router. Outside of that room, the speed was usually less than 1/20th of the specified speed. Now, with Orbi, I've been testing at or above the Cox specified speed in every room in the house. The set up was extremely easy. The only issue I had was my preference to not broadcast my internet id. Orbi's simplified set up didn't give me that option, but I was able to find simple instructions to change that Orbi setting on the Netgear website. My family and our roughly 15 connected devices all seem very satisfied with the new Orbi.

Love it!

I love my Orbi system. We have approx. 4200sq.ft. spread across 2.5 floors and we are able to cover the whole house with just 2 units - the base and 1 satellite. We used to have several different routers set up, with different ISIDs and passwords, which meant if you went from the 2nd floor to the basement, you had to change which network you were on. Now it all works seamlessly. I also love that it comes with Circle, which we were already using, so we were used to it. It is a little annoying, though, that we had to buy a subscription when we had already bought the system. A couple times the satellite has inexplicably dropped, but I was able to get it back up quite easily. And the speeds are AWESOME - we are finally getting the advertised internet speeds!

Depressed
on May 29, 2019

For years I have been depressed with terrible WiFi coverage. Even paid extra for cable equipment that had wired extenders. Then through countless hours of research I found ORBI by Netgear. Easy setup in minutes and then, PROBLEM SOLVED! Absolutely no weak areas in a house that has a lot of walls and windows on two floors and reaches a good 150 ft. In the yard. I even called all my friends to explain my happiness. THEN, I called my cable company that spent many hours on different days trying to help me. I told them that the ORBI WOULD SOLVE ALL THEIR THEIR PROBLEMS if they would call Netgear. I think they would save Big $$$ for their company on trouble calls. All I can say is the ORBI IS UNBELEIVABLE !!!!! My ORIBI IS THE RBK 50 and 1 satellite. rko

Teenager Approved, lol

We bought the Orbi because our house had multiple dead zones and just never seemed to have reliable wifi. And when we could connect, it was always very slow. I did a lot of research and decided to try the Orbi. Setting it up was a piece of cake. The instructions were easy to follow. Once installed, my teenage kids immediately tried it out (with a bit of skepticism) and were so excited to have wifi throughout the house. My daughter even shouting... "I have all 3 bars in my room!". We are a family of 4 in a 3300 square foot home. We all have a smart phone/tablet, as well as 3 laptops and a gaming system. We have yet to run into problems. We are even able to get a strong signal outside. It was well worth the money and I'm only sorry we didn't do this sooner!

Sad I Waited This Long
on May 29, 2019

I'd been putting off an upgrade to a whole-home system for a while, but when I realized recently that my Wi-Fi options have been limited industry-wide to either a shady budget router, a black-and-red monstrosity designed for insecure gamers, or a whole-home system, I figured why not just try the latter.
I'm genuinely glad I did! The ease of setup coupled with the warm-and-cozy-blanket level of coverage is unreal, and I'm taking full advantage of my Internet plan and device speeds. As costs continue to fall I'll be recommending this more and more to friends and family as the best option for Wi-Fi.
Netgear reeled me in brilliantly with the dedicated 5GHz backhaul, I can't imagine a system without it, and at this point I'm fully ride-or-die with Orbi.

Easy and Excellent

Orbi was easy to set-up - virtually automatic. It has met our needs and helped me produce strong wifi throughout are long/narrow home - even to our detached garage and decks. I have yet to find a weak signal anywhere. Orbi even (lightly) suggested items to set-up, such as a guest network. Two things that put Orbi way out in front of the competition: browser-based setup option (configured without internet-only app) and the ability (option) to hard-wire the backhaul channel. Now I can have all of our network needs on a single network throughout, such as the security cameras and casting. Ease of use was also important for my growing family, including the newer need for automatic updates/security. I made the jump to the Orbi system and I have been very happy.

Finally, internet everywhere in my home
on May 29, 2019

I purchased this product in hopes of improving the internet signal in my home. We have a 4500 sq/ft home and the internet modem is located in the basement. This meant that trying to use devices on the 2nd and 3rd floor of our home was intermittent and we often lost connection or the app would freeze. We have a smart TV and were unable to use it as by the time it found the connection it was too weak to use. Now with Orbi, we have strong internet signal everywhere. What I like best about this system is that there is no decrease in signal strength anywhere in my home. It was easy to set up and even a non-techie like me could do it. My son in law, who is an electrical engineer, was so impressed when he came to visit that he bought one for his home. Great Product !!
