Better coverage than router + Range Extender
on May 29, 2019

We have low bandwidth in Easter Washington. I bought this system to hopefully maximize the upload and download we get at our site throughout the whole house. I took speed test measurements from several different locations within our home with my previous setup d-link N router w/ net gear n extender and then set up the Orbi Mesh and ran the tests again. It was about a 30 % increase in delivery efficiency based on my semi-scientific test. Setup was fun/painless, and I would strongly recommend to anyone with a larger footprint home. -Josh

Orbi Review
on May 29, 2019

I originally bought the Nighthawk. Due to the fact that I was having some issues covering my entire house, 2 story 3700 sf. I traded in the Nighthawk in for the Orbi. Installation and setup was a breeze. So easy in fact, my 10 year old set it up under my supervision. I now have complete coverage of my home including most of my back yard and pool area. Here are a list of devices I have running through it. 3 smart tv's, 3 iPhones, 2 iPad, 1 desktop, 1 laptop, 2 PS4, and 1 Xbox. 100mb connection through Spectrum. No fiber in my area just yet.

Greatly Improved wifi coverage
on May 29, 2019

I'm living in a 4-bedroom, 2-story house. Our modem and router are located in one of the corner rooms upstairs. With just the previous wifi router, the upstairs coverage was fine, but the family room downstairs was spotty at best, and would disconnect frequently. We tried a powerline adapter which helped coverage slightly, but with drastically slower speeds. Switching to the Netgear Orbi system (main device by the modem and 1 satellite downstairs) has widened coverage to all corners of the house with no significant decline in internet speed.

Simple,Works, and very Fast!

I wanted to get this router because first off the reviews are great, but second off the satellite feature is well needed for a house with a gaming room 125ft away from the router in the living room. Further more the set up is very simple, simpler than I could ever imagion, it almost makes you feel good about yourself knowing you set up everything on your own. The simplicity and the overall speed of the router makes this router the best one I've ever seen and used would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fast, reliable, simple router!

Fast, easy and impressive

After a lot of research on WiFi systems to cover my space, I made the decision to go with the Orbi system. After some reviews, I was not certain I would get the speed I was looking for as I spread out my mesh web, but I could not be more pleasantly surprised. Speed within 10-15 ft of my satellite are as fast as right next to my router. The drop off at a further distance, say 20+ feet is about 50%, but much greater than anything I have tried in the past.
I am thrilled with my results and glad I made the decision to go with the Orbi system.

Concrete and obstacles
on May 29, 2019

Wow! Again...wow! This system has paid for itself quickly. We are military and live in government ran housing that is constructed of rebar and concrete. So needless to say there is no signal in any room if you have a normal wifi system. It was frustrating. Your phone wouldn't work. Televisions and computers weren't working unless you performed a yoga pose in the right room like you were a set of 1970's bunny ears on top of the tele'. Now we have fast reliable wifi and that allows us to do everything throughout the house! It's amazing!

Easy setup, great coverage

We live in a narrow house with 4 levels, and our standard Sagecomm router that came with our Charter setup only gave reliable coverage on the main floor (where it sits), basement, and some of the 2nd floor. The Orbi setup was surprisingly simple: just plug into power, your modem, and it was good to go in 10-15 min. Satellite (repeater) went on the 2nd floor, and now we have excellent coverage in every corner of the house. A little on the pricey side, but if you have a large or multi-level house, the ease of setup and coverage are worth it.
