Love this cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little nervous to vet this cooktop. I have had multiple glass cooktops that always look horrible. I have a short attention span and 5 little kids. I consult boil the contents over and can't get the top clean. With the instant heart and instant temperature changes my life is so much easier! I love that I can use the silicon mats under my cookware. I like to cook with cast iron, the mat keeps the top clean and prevents scratching. I will never go back, this cooktop is amazing!

Excellent Induction Cooktop

Great price and cooks well, heating very quickly at high power. Controls are very intuitive. Also, delivery and installation went without a problem at all. Great job!

What a great cooktop

After reviewing what was avaiable we purchased the Fridgidaire because the cost was very affordable and its performance. We have used for over a month now and love more than when we first got, easy to use, easy to keep clean. I would recommend this to anyone needing a new cooktop.

Everything I Hoped For

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an old, hard to clean gas cooktop with this product after studying and researching of all cooktop types, brands and models and it is everything I hoped for. My new cooktop is simple to operate. The touch and slide controls work great. Its cooking performance is superb. All of the cooking areas are powerful enough to bring a pot with an inch of water to boil in 30 to 45 seconds. The 10 power levels are more than enough to finely control the cooking temperature. The response time between any power change and the cookware temperature is as short as possible, depending only on the mass of the cookware and its contents. Installation was a snap with good directions and a clever design that automatically centered the cooktop in the cutout. The installed cooktop is beautiful in a minimalist way. From more than a few feet away the markings on the surface aren't visible so the cooktop appears as a thin black slab hugging the countertop. I've learned to use lower power setting for most cooking - the higher settings are only to bring a large pot of liquid to boil. After an initial application of the included cooktop conditioner, there is no way this cooktop could be easier to clean. A quick spray and wipe down with a dishcloth immediately after cooking is all it takes. I did have to replace all of my aluminum cookware with induction-ready pots and pans, but this was an opportunity to clear out clutter and get some much better equipment. I chose a very nice set from Oxo that work great and were reasonably priced. My existing cast iron cookware works great with the cooktop, too. Of course, it will take time to determine how reliable it is, but Frigidaire's extending warranty is reasonably priced and was easy to order online.
