Wont boil water!

Misleading advertizing

All the promotions indicate that the glass does not get hot. The video clip at the top of the listing pages shows a pot of red sauce being removed from the glass, followed by some spillage. It then shows the spill being immediately wiped up.
The actual fact is that the top gets extremely hot & takes between 20 to 30 minutes to cool down. If you touch it during that time you will burn yourself. Any spillage will dry up & need to be scraped clean.

If you buy this cookware you will find this out for yourself but it will be to late to do anything about it. Upon contacting Frigidaire you will be told that getting very hot is normal and nothing can be done about it.
I personally like to clean the cook top immediately after cooking instead of continually having to check the top to see if I can clean without burning myself.
One of the primary reason I bought an induction cook top was the belief that the glass did not get hot & was much easier to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding concerning the demonstration you viewed in our induction cooktop advert.
Your induction cooktop will be cooler when you remove your cookware than a conventional electric cooktop would be. Because the cooktop doesn’t get as hot, you are not as likely to get burned. Spills are also less likely to cook onto the surface, making clean-up easier.
Please keep in mind if the cooking zone becomes hot during cooking, the setting indicator will show a Hot Surface warning (H) when the zone is turned off. This warning will show until the cooking zone cools at this time we recommend cleaning any spills during cooking.
Lastly, it does appear we were able to schedule a diagnostic visit to your home with an authorized service provider, and the tech was able to address your concerns about the performance and maintenance of your cooktop.

Love the look but it doesn’t always work

It’s a beautiful range top, but we’ve had it installed for 2 months and already the center burner doesn’t heat and a second burner isn’t quite right. We often accidentally turn it off by setting a lid on the cooking surface.
