[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Originally we had a Frigidare electric cooktop for 20 years or so. It worked as any other cooktop but had the control knobs sticking out of the cooking surface. I like the flat surface for cleaning but the area around the control knobs was always a problem. But after one of the knobs, which was always subject to bumping broke off for the second time and NO replacement was available it was time to replace the entire top. At first my choices were limited because it was a built-in. As I checked out what was available the Frigidare only had an 'induction' model so I chose another brand that promised to fit but didn't. So I had to go back to the Frigidare but the only one with 'No Knobs' was the induction model. Long story short. "I would never go back to straight electric again" plus my sister and brother both have gas and are considering an Induction as replacements stating it cooks like gas but is faster and cleanup is a simple wipe away.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This beautifully designed cooktop has changed out lives! We can now cook multiple things easily and safely and it works better than expected and looks awesome.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooktop is great! The power boil feature is amazing and I use it almost daily. Spills clean up easily and the burners automatically fitting to the size of my pan is a wonderful feature.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our new Frigidaire induction cook top for over a month and are very happy with the features. One of our favorites is the timer. The cook top is very easy to use and heats up very quickly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second induction cooktop from Frigidaire, and I love it even more as it has 5 burners, all of which are self-sizing. This is the only way to cook especially if there are children around who can touch the surface and not get burned! Cooking is fast, easy to clean up and no heavy grates to move as on gas burners. I would never cook on anything else again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time to say goodbye to our tired, old cooktop, so we went looking online. Our was a traditional coil burner unit and we knew nothing about the new technology in cooktops. In reading the reviews, it looked like a lot of people were happy about this particular cooktop, so we decided to give it a try. It was one of the least expensive cooktops on the market, some costing more than 4 times as much. I installed the unit myself, and it was very straightforward and a simple install. We found out that only one of our small pans would work, so had to buy all new pans to cook with, but for the convenience of this cooktop, we would do it all over again. The controls are laid out well. There is never any confusion as to which control goes to which element. The controls are very responsive. We love the way the cooktop stays so cool. Our kitchen is going to be so much easier to keep cool this summer. The top is very easy to keep clean because food does not get baked onto the surface. When you lift a pan from the surface, that element immediately shuts off until the pan is set back down, resuming cooking. There are never any worries about a cup towel lying on the surface. The only thing that can activate an element is a metal object that a magnet can cling too. It is not often that a review does not contain at least one complaint, or something that could have been engineered slightly better, but we cannot think of anything that could be better about this unit - Go Frigidaire!!!!
