Love cooking with induction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first induction cooktop. I love how fast I can boil water and how precisely I can adjust the temperature. Much closer to gas cooktops in terms of the control it offer you. It takes a little time to get use to it but overall very happy

There's a learning curve, but it's great for us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PROS - 1) we cook a LOT of pasta, and it boils a large amount of water in about as much time as it takes me to casually get the pasta from the pantry, weigh it, get out some bowls and seasonings.
2) when something boils over, cleanup is pretty quick and easy. Just remove the pot and turn off the power, wipe it up, and put the pot back on. It returns to boiling quickly.
3) water boils in a teakettle faster than it boils in the microwave (for instant oatmeal, herbal tea, etc.)
CONS - 1) if the power is on the highest setting (P for powerboil), it REALLY BOILS. Like a volcano burbling out lava kind of boiling. Once I add pasta to the water, I almost immediately turn it down to 7, otherwise it spits out water from the pot.
2) we had to get rid of our copper-bottomed pots obviously, but there were more stainless steel pots that wouldn't work than we expected. I think it has something to do with whatever metal(s) are inside the bottom of the pots. Most stores are closed for covid-19 right now, so we're a little short on pots until the IKEA reopens.
All in all, we love it, and when we stayed at a hotel recently, the old-technology stovetop seemed extremely slow and archaic. We'll stick with induction from now on.

Really nice except fingerprint smudges real easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got it about a month ago. Love the auto pan size sensing, the power boil feature - on every burner - is really great, the control is really easy to use. And it is really easy to clean!
There are only two things that surprised or bothered us.
1) the fan can be very loud when the unit first turn on. Maybe the noise of cooking eventually drowns it out do that it is not as obvious later.
2) the surface of the cook top gets fingerprint smudges really easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the induction cooktop knowing that there was going to be a bit of a learning process but it took no time for me to learn to use it. It heats super fast and super well. I don’t think I’ve actually had to use it on high power other than power boil just yet! I just love my cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love induction cooking. Works just like a gas cooktop - immediate response for increasing, decreasing or turning off the heat. Cooktop is so easy to clean unlike regular electric glass top models.

I WISH I HADN'T WAITED THIS LONG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If it hadn't been for a friend telling me if her range gave out she was going to get one with induction, I would not have known it was a possibility. I'm not totally in the dark ages as I have been using 2 induction portable cooktops for a couple years. When one burner on my electric cooktop started giving us fits i jumped on the induction cooktop bandwagon. I did my research homework and found that Frigidaire was overwhelmingly the frontrunner. We were lucky to find that appliance sales were going on at that time so we bought our 36" Frigidaire cooktop. My only regret is that I was not aware of this possibility 12 years ago when we built this house. My husband loves induction cooking as much as I do because you can get to the temperature you want and it will stay there are opposed to electric where it goes up and then it goes off. If I could hug this cooktop I would, I love it that much.
