Sleek but small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has taken me a while to get used to this refrigerator. Before buying this refrigerator you need to realize you are giving up a good amount of space to have the ice and water in the door of refrigerator. As much as we like having the ice and water so handy I feel like the refrigerator is much too small. The layout is not my favorite.

Not So Good

We put all Bosch appliances in our new build in 2007. All appliances have worked well except the fridge. Similar to other reviews, we had no end of problems with the ice dispenser and the drawers in the fridge and freezer sections constantly misalign. It's years later and cooling went out so rather than a service call and repair we just decided to part ways. Never liked it. Guess what? We bought another Bosch fridge. We're just not going to use the ice dispenser. We wanted the non ice dispenser model but would have had to tear out cabinets so just decided that wasn't an expense we wanted to incur.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noisiest refrigerator ever !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only wished I knew how noisy this refrigerator was before we bought it !!!! The technician said there was nothing to do about it, that's the way it is. Out of 7 appliances we only have regrets on 2, this refrigerator and the microwave (but I will review it later) the dishwasher is ever so quiet, the ovens are amazing, the vent is awesome and love the cooktop. But there are times the refrigerator is louder than the TV !!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Newer Models of This Refrigerator are Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator in the Fall of 2017 and had nothing but trouble with the ice machine and didn't like how noisy it was. Bosch stood by their product and continually tried to fix the ice machine. Unfortunately, it never got properly fixed. Fortunately, Bosch replaced our refrigerator with the same model but a newer version. This new version is very quiet and the ice machine works flawlessly. We went from absolutely hating this unit to loving it. I am guessing some design changes were made since we purchsed this unit oroginally. Either way, you won't be disappointed with the newer version of this unit. Kudos to Bosch for standing by their product!

Great Fridge

Jesse, the panel has an energy saving mode, which is a great feature, so you just need to touch and release any button to activate the panel. Once you have activated the panel, you just need to gently press and HOLD the water button until you get the right amount of water. Instead you seem to be hitting or pushing the button multiple times, and expect the fridge to guess what you want. Again, touch and release any button to activate the panel, and then gently press and hold the water button and you will get your water.
This is a great Fridge, great design, good quality, and extremely quiet, as compared to my previous JennAir fridge. Cannot wait to have all my appliances replaced with Bosh. There are minor issues though: 1. The egg tray should be in the shape of, and fit tight into one of the door shelves. 2. The panel could have a partial lock option, to prevent the temperature settings from being inadvertently changed, but not to prevent people from getting water and ice. 3. The manuals should be consistent; the paper manual tells me that I need to wait for 8 hours before plugging in the fridge, while that online tells that only need to wait for 6 hours. The difference is 33%, so is it 6 or 8 hours?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall, Pretty Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the new Bosch refrigerator for about a month and are mostly satisfied with it. It is fairly quiet, the controls on the door are easy to operate and the quality of the components seems to be first-rate - with the exception of the ice maker. About once each week it jams up and will not feed any ice. I have to remove the storage tray, dump it all out and find the small piece of ice jamming up the works. Once that is done it will work fine again for about another week before an errant piece of ice jams it up again. Simply a bad design. Kind of a pain but not really a deal breaker. If Bosch comes up with a fix for this I hope they let me know.

Disappointed

My husband selected this refrigerator for our kitchen remodel. I usually like to read reviews and do research but he wanted a Bosch and selected this while we were at the store and purchased it without much thought to anything else. I wish I had taken the time to read these reviews becauase maybe we could have selected another before installl. The ice does not dispense near enough ice for living in Houston, Texas. It does supply an extra ice container to store ice but the ice dispenser barely fills the bottom of the container. As a result we ran a water line to our detached garage so we could have ice from our old refrigerator. Which completely fills the dispenser. Also, the dispenser continually clogs and is a hassle to clear. Every day there is some sort of issue I have with this refrigerator and it is very frustrating. I almost wish the thing would break so we could buy a new but my husband would probably have it fixed. Very disappointed we have this refrigerator in our beautiful new kitchen. All other components are working well so far and it does have a appealing look to it.
