Disappointed with Bosch

There are many problems with this refrigerator: poor temperature control, several components of the ice maker failed, and all but one of the door shelves broke-just to list a few. We purchased this a few years ago when we replaced ALL of our appliances with new Bosch 800 appliances. They all have been disappointing except the dishwasher. But none so much as this refrigerator.
We expected Bosch would be capable of manufacturing above average quality products-especially considering the price premium. Boy were we badly mistaken. I guess even this german company decided to sacrifice its reputation for quality to increase profit margins in the short term. Which is really poor management.
Because of the poor quality of the Bosch appliances we have to replace them again and much sooner that should reasonably be expected. This time Bosch will not be in the decision matrix. Also, several (about 6-8) neighbors are renovating their houses and/or kitchens. Some have asked us about our experience and we had to tell them that Bosch no longer means quality. Bosch is simply a new word that means cheaply made. I expected better from a german company and I feel so let down and disappointed. For comparison, the Haier refrigerator that the previous owners left in the garage is still problem free after 10 years. Can Bosch not at least match the quality of Haier? I hope they do someday.

Very Good Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design fits our kitchen perfectly. It's a big improvement with not showing hand prints. Plenty of room in both the refrigerator and freezer. The interior layout is good. I wish we had added an icemaker in the freezer for when guests are visiting.

My Bosch refrigerator has not disappointed me. It is well designed and has a lot of space. Keeps everything at the proper temperature.

Water and ice on the door.

This is a replacement from another one I purchased that had some problems that couldn’t be fixed. I hope this one last me 10 years or more because it’s not cheap. I have put two temperature gauges one in the refrigerator and the other in the freezer and I’m still getting a variance in the set point and actual reading. But things aren’t freezing like the other one did but time will tell. I really love the style and features of this refrigerator and I hope it won’t disappoint me.

Ice maker is horrible!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had a part replaced about 4 times and the ice maker worked intermittently, or not at all. Waiting for Bosch to decide what to do next, and I'm afraid that if they only replace it, we'll have the same problem with the new one! I think I'd rather get my money back!
