Marginally better, but not by much.

Purchased it because I didn't like the tin sounding TV speakers. Fired it up and it was ok, but not what I expected for the brand name 'Polk'. I have Polk computer speakers that sound much better than this sound bar. It mysteriously stopped working shortly after the warranty was up. My loss. Wouldn't buy another one. I bought a Google speaker and it is way better than this sound bar and cheaper too. Plus you get all the benefits of a smart speaker. This sound bar wasn't so smart. I wasn't so smart for buying it either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Polk Sound Bar

I already have this sound bar in my home, have had it for 3 years and it works perfectly. I just bought one for my daughter in-law for Christmas. She mentioned she has a hard time hearing her new TV at home, the speakers are too low. This sound bar will give her the volume she requires to hear much clearer. One thing, the remote is a little small...hard to see. If there was an app that would control the sound bar it would be a much-appreciated improvement.
I would recommend this to a friend!
