[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Natural Energy white light therapy was great. I received a free sample to review. It's super easy to navigate and the buttons were very receptive. The light can be turned up or down as far as brightness by 10 increments. The size is super convenient to carry around your house as long as you have a electric port to plug it in. The brightness did affect my sleep schedule however it worked great overall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received a free sample of the Philips Natural Energy White Light Therapy Medical Grade in exchange for my unbiased opinion and I thought it was a great product. The quality was amazing but it was much larger than I expected it to be making it difficult to move to different locations. The light was very bright, much brighter than expected but it did make me more awake and more alert.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although I felt a little more energized after using the product, it did not last very long. Overall, the product was ok but didn't exceed my expectations.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quality work, if you have the time

Overall, it is a nice idea. Unfortunately, I am a night person who works in a small office, so using the light in the morning around other people became a little bit distracting for them. If I were a morning person and could have used it at home after work, I may have been able to get a better idea of how well it worked and maybe found some benefit.
I would suggest reading up on how the lights work and when you, personally, should use them based on your sleep patterns. Once you do that, you should be able to determine if there is a 40 to 60 minute window during the day that you could use this in order to get the full benefit.
The light is built well and is about the size of a dinner plate. It is ver easy to use an to figure out right out of the box. If you want one of these and know that you can use it, then this is something that I would recommend.
Pros: ease of use
Cons: did not work for my work/sleep schedule

Increase Energy Levels

Setup was a breeze. The instructs were clear- all you need to do is plug the powercord into the device and then into an outlet.
This product is great if you are looking to increase your energy levels. Especially if you start using it routinely in the mornings
It is bright enough to wake me up without being overly bright.You can also adjust the levels of brightness on the device. This is my favorite feature that is not offered by all other lights out there.

The design is white and modern so leaving it on the counter fit in well with the rest of the room.
The build of the unit is high quality and durable. The stand that comes with it is sturdy enough to hold the light in place. I never worried about the light falling over.

Overall, I am impressed with this light. It does what it advertises in a stylish way. I have a minimalistic style and this fit my lifestyle perfectly. The price is fair for the brand and the overall quality of the product.

More Energy!

I actually really have been enjoying using this product during this cold and dreary winter. I received this as a free sample to review it and I`ve been using it for about 20 minutes a few days/week. It definitely makes me feel more energized after usage. I`ve always said my moods are drastically impacted by the change in weather, so this has been a joy to use this winter. The light is very bright, so you definitely can`t look right at it, but I`ve been using it when I`m talking on the phone, or reading something, off to the side. I am excited to keep on using it as they say the longer you use it, the better you`ll feel.
Pros: ease of use, brightens your day (literally!)
Cons: large in size

The EnergyLight is a great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received a free sample of the Philips EnergyLight to review. It claims that it will help people with improve their alertness, energy level, and can help people with moods affected by seasonal changes. Seeing as it’s still winter and I do have issues when the season changes, this was the perfect time to test it out.
First off, it has a sleek design with just three buttons on it. There’s the on/off button, plus 2 that modify how bright the light gets. There’s also a timer on the front that shows you how long it’s been on. All you need to do to set it up is plug the cord into the unit and adjust the arm on the back. It’s not portable and it doesn’t use batteries. This light is massive- about the size of a closed 15” laptop, which is good and bad. If you want to use it at home and at work, it’s not great to tote around because it’s bulky. On the other hand, that’s plenty of light to work with.
I used it at home and at work because it my energy dips at 2 PM and 7 PM. They suggest keeping it an arms’ length away, so it just fit on my work desk. After a few minutes of working on my computer, I didn’t even notice it. After thirty minutes, I turn it off and move it below my desk.
Philips also created an app to go along with the light called EnergyLight App. I played with it a bit and I liked it. It allows you to pick a light program- it offers Indoor energy, Fight the dip, Winter energy, Early bird, and Night owl. If you’re unsure of what to go with, you can take an assessment to figure it out. The app is not connected to the light via Bluetooth or Wifi. It’s there to set alarms for you and to measure your energy before and after use. I think that’s a cool concept, especially for people tracking symptoms. There’s also information for people who want to learn more about sleep habits, the effects of light, and how time and seasons can affect your mood.
I noticed an uptick in energy after using the EnergyLight and I will continue using it after this to help fight being tired in the afternoon. I’ve also used it for something completely unrelated- I keep it on when I apply my make up! My apartment doesn’t have direct lighting, so I turn it on to see what my make up looks like with natural lighting.

Very useful light for Midwestern

It`s very much needed considering Chicago doesn`t get much sunlight during the winter months. I highly recommend this light if you live in the Midwest or anywhere the gets little sun.
Pros: functional and stylish, easy to use, easy setup, light adjustability, energy efficiency
Cons: looks similar to a makeup mirror
