I bought this printer about 2 weeks ago. I paid for the remote technician and it was money well spent. It only took two sessions to get the printer working because the first told me I needed to buy a printer cable since the printer would not work with my modem. Once I got the cable and hooked it up it only took the tech about 30 minutes to get the printer working. The printer cable was needed in order to let the printer work off my computer's internet connection. I do not do the fancy printing a lot of people do so that was all I needed. I am a published author and I sometimes need to print off my manuscript to edit. This printer is everything I needed. I still have 2 1/2 months left on the technician if help is needed. I would tell anyone to pay the extra price for the technician because it is worth having. Never know when they could come in handy.

wireless connection fails once a month

It took several patches to get it to print. Now, the wireless connection fails at least monthly for no apparent reason.

I purchased this product for my mother for Christmas. She has a small apartment in an assisted living facility, uses a laptop regularly, and just wanted to be able to make prints and copies every once in a while. My son, who is a PhD student at Notre Dame, spent well over an hour trying to get it set up for her, and was not able too. It should not be that complicated. I can't really rate the product because we were not able to get it to work at all.
