Hi, Dudley.

You can also find troubleshooting guides specific to your printer, including ones on connectivity, in addition to user manuals, how-to documents and software updates here: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/11262035
If the printer still won’t connect, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
Biggest regret ever on a printer. I should’ve stuck with a canon. I can’t even get your computer set up. I saw it on the dashboard for about three minutes and now it’s not connected again. I have high-speed Internet and I’m with a mobile device right next to it and I still can’t get it to function. I seriously would like to throw this in the garbage can.

Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has not scanned documents like it should. I can certainly understand why this would be a frustrating start to ownership, especially if scanning was a major reason you purchased the machine. I want to help you resolve this situation. I hope the resources below reach that end.
First, I recommend you consult the main user manual for this printer, which you can find on our support site. I suggest you read the section “Scan Using the HP Printer Software.” Find that manual here: - www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05152483.pdf
You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common scanning as well as printing. You can find that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If the scanner still does not work, I suggest you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
Prints only half the time, continually needs upgrades. So frustrating. Just when you need to print something you have to go out to their print help and download something or another. Then it finally prints so you can't count on printing anything quickly. I continually hold my breath when printing because you never know when it will actually print. Plus it is super slow.
