Not as great as peg out to be

Since I've gotten the phone the microphone has been acting up.
Then one day at dinner my phone fell out of my pocket (with a phone case on) and the screen cracked real bad and then it spider webbed out and now I can barely text. This is supposed to be a pretty sturdy phone and it messed up after not even a month of having the device. BIG FAIL!!

Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, not a sturdy phone like it was said it would be

Moisture problems

Everything about this phone is great the biggest and only frustrating problem that it has is everytime I try to charge it it says moisture detected in port and I cannot charge this phone.

I have had this phone about 9 months. My son dropped it from less than 2 feet and the screen shattered. I spent the money to buy this phone because I had previously had an earlier version of the active that lasted me a few years before breaking. I have often told people that the active is the perfect phone for a mom because it is kid resistant. However, this version was a disappointing waste of money.

A disappointment to the Active name

I've had my phone 3 months. I have treated it well considering a very active lifestyle. The screen is fragile and the moisture protection is a joke. It can't even handle a little sweat from a workout.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Let me start by saying I have used Samsung's active phones since the s4 came out. I have always been pleased with the ruggedness of them. I have never had any issues with performance, battery life, or screen scratches.
I purchased the S8 active August 18 2017. it has now been 4 days since I have owned it. the phone has never been dropped but just from going in and out of my pocket the screen is scratched horribly.
Samsung claims this is a rugged screen although it appears it is made of a cheap plastic.
the scratches that are on it came from the inside of my pocket where I have carried all my other phones with no issues. Samsung has a reputation of taking care of their customers so I hope they fix my phone.

By far the best mobile phone I have ever owned, going back through iPhone 4G, Samsung S4,S5,S6,S7 and some from other manufacturers.
A little heavy, but great battery life, processes fast (up to now) and plenty of memory.

Bring Back the Buttons!!!!!

The number 1 reason I've stuck with the Active version of the galaxy is to keep the physical buttons. I can't stand these on screen buttons one bit. Guess I'll be hanging on to my S6 Active for a while longer. PLEASE BRING BACK THE BUTTONS WITH THE S9 ACTIVE!!!!!!
