This type of microwave came with our house and 4 years after it doesn’t heat up anymore. I keep on looking for replacement and they’re not manufacturing it anymore, they have a different model number but still the same product Whirlpool/Maytag UMC5225GZ. I need the same dimensions so it’ll fit on my trim that’s in my kitchen wall. Do you guys have one that has the same dimensions?

Do not purchase

Do not purchase this microwave. It smelled like smoke one day and had lost power. When we turned breaker off and back on the microwave then turned on and started running on its own. Even though the time read zero it was still running the only way to get it to stop running was to open the microwave door and then we had to unplug the microwave. It smelled like electrical fire. This is a hazard!! Do not purchase this microwave

We have had the same common issue with the microwave turning on on its own. I didn’t realize it was a common flaw until looking on the website at all of the other reviews. it turned on its own and overheating.

Stay AWAY, FIRE RISK

This microwave came with our house and I initially thought it looked very sleek and fit our house well. I had no idea that I wasn't the only one to have the same problem of the microwave continuing to run even though it is off, creating a massive fire risk. You SHOULD NOT purchase this microwave because there is now an alarming trend on how common this problem is.

Fire hazard!!

Microwave turned on in the middle of the night and made a popping sound. Now there is a burn spot over the cover and broken off. If my son wasn't crying and me awake this could have burned down the house. The size is so unique I can't find a replacement similar to fit it. This is horrid microwave and after reading review its a common issue. How Is there not a recall or a lawsuit.

don’t buy

This microwave came with my brand new house purchase in March 2023. I hadn’t had any issues until about a week ago when the microwave just started turning off and on. If we hold the door closed firmly it sometimes works. However, even when it isn’t in use it will sometimes make a weird hissing noise like there was some kind of short. Obviously I haven’t used it since then. I had to remove the mounting bracket and take the entire thing out thinking it may be an issue with the plug. Nope. I got on here to troubleshoot and now see this seems to be a very common issue. 1 star and the same issues?! Why is this product even on the market??? I have no idea if this is a part issue or what my options are?

Microwave doesn’t heat

We just moved into a home with this microwave. Home is 4 years old so assume same age for microwave. It will turn on but does not heat. Really disappointing and don’t want to have to replace with both a trim kit and microwave being an expensive option :(
