Fire hazard

Really poor product. Came with new home appliance package and has performed poorly for years. Now it is sparking due to the paint failing! Had to remove the microwave due to it being a fire hazard. Of course they didn’t make a microwave with the same dimensions that would fit the the trim kit, so will need to replace that too. You should be able to expect more than 4 years from an appliance.

Do not buy - Dangerous!

This product should not be sold anymore. We have had the same common issue with the microwave turning on on its own. I didn’t realize it was a common flaw until looking on the website at all of the other reviews. One day it turned on and we weren’t there until who knows how long? The whole room was hot! We are lucky our house didn’t burn down. Do not buy, this is a dangerous product.

Extreme safety risk! Be warned!!

Do not buy this microwave, or one like it. The model numbers are clearly posted and I’m horrified of what happened. I came home from dropping my kids off at school today and the microwave was still running. It smelled almost like burned plastic. I looked inside and now it has a yellow spot. Thankful it didn’t catch on fire. It worked great for about a year and a half. If you have this stop using it. Look at the red circled in my picture. Check your model number!

Terrible expensive product

The worst! This product came with our new home and now the control panel no longer works also the paint on the interior has come off.
What happened to the quality of products?

Won't turn off- fire hazard!

***Fire hazard*** My microwave is maybe 3 to 4 years old and is having to be replaced because it will not turn off. The microwave will continuously run with no time added. I have checked the door switch and every other troubleshooting tips provided with no help. After seeing the reviews of others I'm not the only one with this problem.

Buyer Beware! Do Not Buy!

This microwave was purchased as a set with our double oven as a built in unit. We purchased this in 2020. The microwave began making noises, would not turn off, then completely stopped working. We thought this was covered under our home warranty program, however it is not because it is listed as a countertop microwave and not a built-in microwave although this thing is humongous and it was sold with the deck kit and trim package for built-in. After researching the unit, we see this is categorized incorrectly by Whirlpool. I wish I could leave 0 stars. Buyer Beware!

Stopped Working

I was heating some bacon in a paper towel and immediately afterwards I heated a cup of coffee. When the process was complete I opened the door and removed, but when I closed the door it kept on running. So I opened the door again and it stopped, but when I closed the door again it began running again without any time on the control panel or pressing the start button. But it is not heating water in a cup now. I just bought this one less than two years ago to replace another Whirlpool microwave that lasted 8 years. I wish that I would have read the reviews, but I took the advice of my local retailer, Cowboy Maloneys.

Worst microwave

We got this microwave with the house (brand new). We’ve only been here 2.5 years. The microwave just randomly stops working, then starts working and beeping on and off out of the blue. We tried replacing it with another brand, but the measurements for this one is so unique that any other standard microwave won’t fit. Very dissatisfied and frustrated with this product. Don’t buy!
