Excellent Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to wait a while to write a review, since everyone always loves something when its brand new. I've had this model for 10 months now. It's absolutely a quality produce. This replaced a Kenmore French-door/bottom freezer model. I would have loved to have stayed with a French door style, but due to our 33" opening, there aren't many options - no one seems to make this size in a French door model anymore. This fridge is slightly deeper than my last one, giving me a bit more space. The door bins are perfectly sized for gallons of milk and wonderfully adjustable. The shelves are well made, without lots of little plastic bits of trim, which invariably break. The freezer is a decent size (I do have a stand alone chest freezer for bigger items like turkeys, etc., so this wasn't really an issue for me anyway), and the ice maker doesn't take up tons of room. It's easy to remove the ice bin for emptying if necessary, and we've never had an issue with the dispenser clogging. The filters needed replacing at 6 months, but it's super easy to do. The control panel is simple to use, and I love that there is a night-light feature in the dispenser. The slightly taller door height gives you the look of a built in while still providing the necessary clearance for air circulation so the appliance will operate properly. The smudgeproof stainless is AMAZING. It NEVER shows fingerprints. A quick wipe with a hot soapy cloth and a quick dry with a towel is all you ever need to do. The interior is also easy to clean. The only negatives I have is that occasionally items along the wall next to the freezer and in the meat/veggie drawer will freeze. Not sure why this is - possibly I have too much stuff in the fridge. Not really sure. Oh, and it makes some really weird noises, lol. But all in all its a great fridge.

Very happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced Samsung bottom freezer that kept freezing up .This fridge is much more user friendly. It fits in my cut-out better as well which gives us use of drawer & 1 cabinet now .

Exactly What We Were Looking For

Just so-so

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns! The filter for this model, the ULTRAWF, is a push-to-release filter. You should be able to push it firmly on the end to release the spring latch and slide it out. If there is significant resistance, it may have frozen in place! You may be able to loosen it by applying a warm cloth at the base or another form of steady heat (like a hairdryer) and continuing to push on the end until the latch releases. Fridge

Your high-efficiency refrigerator has a variable speed compressor, it is designed to run 100% of the time except during the defrost cycle. At times it will run faster, such as after a defrost cycle. It is normal for the compressor to run continuously except during defrost mode. The new unit may also introduce unfamiliar sounds. These sounds generally indicate your refrigerator is operating correctly. Some surfaces such as floors, walls, and kitchen cabinets may make these sounds more noticeable. So much space!
