Great cabinet but the lock doesnt work

Lock on the door only locks with the key in it. You cant remove the key unless its unlocked. Not sure if it's supposed to be that way

Hello Joe dirt, most customers tend to miss this part in the assembly instructions. However, on page 4, there is a section that says Install Shelves, "IMPORTANT: Use the pair of holes located in the middle of the cabinet sides to install a center shelf without the magnet (P5), so the doors will lock. The other two shelves with magnet (P5m) may be installed where desired." If you have any other questions, please call Gladiator at (866) 342-4089 Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (EST).

My lock work lock function did not I assemble it correctly ?

Bought this for my garage. Works well to organize all the stuff. Good overall dimensions. Wish the steel gauge was a little thicker and magnets on both doors would be better like the 36 inch large gearboxes.

Top Quality & Generally Very Sturdy Cabinet... But...

Assembly of the cabinet is required. When securing the back panels, I was unable to get some of the F3cz screws to start in the holes, so I had to purchase sheet metal screws to use instead. They were much easier to get started in holes than the F3cz screws. I wall-mounted the cabinet using the accessory bracket kit and Gear Track. I decided the mounting was too flimsy because the back panels to which the brackets mount are rather flimsy. To strengthen the wall-mounted Gearbox onto the wall I added three lag screws into holes I drilled through the inside lip of the Gearbox top... making sure the lag screws went into wall studs.
