I am on a budget for a particular project and as much as I would love to replace every Gladiator product I own with it’s premium pre-assembled much better looking cousin (with wheels)... I decided to go with the ready to assemble base cabinet. I am not sure how bad I expected the quality to be compared to premium but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was not dealing with a flimsy grade sheet metal box with misaligned doors that never close right and dented if you dropped a beach-ball on it. I found quite the opposite. Super nice durable finish; yes the sheet metal is a little less robust but this is a rock star little cabinet. I wouldn’t be dropping 9 pound hammers in the drawer, but I would comfortably label this medium duty… Very suitable for a hobby room or home office and makes a great 3D printer stand. The drawer glides nice and smooth; and the doors close with that satisfying solid click. Super easy to assemble and one of the few Gladiators products I would not hesitate to assemble solo again.

Manufacturing defect with bottom shelf

Do not buy unless you do not care that the bottom shelf is unusable due to a manufacturing design where the shelf needs to be installed upside down. They have known about this problem for years but refuse to re-engineer. I have been waiting over 3 months for delivery of the correct bottom shelf. Every time I call they just tell me to be patient until the shelf and leveler legs are in stock.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"could" have been great had design been better

4 pegs come up out of each corner in bottom . Problem could have been avoided with a thin sheet of metal placed over entire floor, on ledges (already there) Pegs would be covered and everything would sit level on floor. I am thinking of returning, even though I like it, but to expensive to reward bad design.

Common Sense is the trick to assemble this cabinet

Just bought these cabs and I must say, at first, I was overwhelmed with the directions and how to put them together. Chinese translation to English is never easy and it seems very redundant at times. For example, NO NUT is required for the main bolts as they are threaded in the receiving piece. As a matter of fact, most of the screws are threaded also in the receiving piece. Trial and error was how I got through it but it wasn't that bad.
I also take issue with some of the other reviews about "cheap metal" and so on. Anybody who knows anything about structure knows that the sum of all the parts constitute a firm and hardy cabinet. Once this cab is altogether it is pretty indestructible and looks great in my garage. I purchased two of them and they fit great under the Gladiator bench!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I thought it looked really nice in our shed as well as it has a modern look and design. It is pretty heavy and seems like it will last a long time. It goes well with the other things I have in my shed and blends well. I like the ease of use and the fact that it is prey heavy duty. I would recommend

Part mismarked. Missing flange nut. I can overcome those but the holes in d1,d2 d3 are much too large to hold the screws. Two weekends on this and a complete mess.

Bottom of Cabinet Ridiculous

Well the Chinese must be having a laugh at my expense. The instructions are absolutely wrong as the bottom panel (the interior bottom panel) is shown as flat finish in the instructions and in reality the exact opposite. I thought I had lost my mind ….Whirlpool would never make that mistake…you bet they did. The finished bottom of the cabinet is useless as it has the threaded elements for the casters and a rail down the center. I am sending it back and disputing the charge with visa.
