Love the Red color. Goes perfectly with our decor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a tea drinker. Bought this 5 years ago mainly because of the color and unique shape. It has sat on our kitchen island ever since. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I like it so much I bought a new one asap so that I have it on hand when/if the original finally conks out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just replaced my old kettle with this shiny red baby and I smile each time I walk into my kitchen and see it on my counter. I love its style, pop of bright red, and gentle ting when the water is at just the right temperature for a cup of tea.

Boiling in plastic interior is deal breaker

This is great kettle except for one major flaw, the plastic interior. No matter what high quality plastic it might be but it's still "plastic" and you never know when it'll start contaminating water. I would expect it to be stainless steel inside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Customer Service

Six months ago I contacted customer service about a noise it makes when I turn it on. It's an intermittent shrill sound. Still waiting for a call back!!! No one from Kitchenaid contacted me. I bought in Aug 2017. Also, interior plastic. The description said it was metal. It's not. Very concerned about drinking water boiled in plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Developed rust from very early on
