Good kettle, just not without considerations

Bought a month ago, used several times daily (two children under three). Construction is solid and the design is great - the double walled build keeps it cool and quiet.
Unfortunately it is not without issues. When used set to maximum temperature the kettle seems to get stuck between 95 and 100 degrees for a while, boiling for up to several minutes unnecessarily before turning off. If set just below max it boils and turns off promptly. This sort of quality issue seems like something that shouldn't happen at this price point.
My issue may be a one off however if it weren't for that issue, only the price would hold me back from recommending this otherwise amazing kettle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
