I bought the Candy Apple Red kettle to go with my other KitchenAid appliances. I am impressed by how quickly and quietly water is boiled. The analogue temperature gauge on the kettle is an excellent feature to see if the water is still hot enough without needing to keep the appliance turned on at the power socket.

I bought this for my Birthday, in the Sale, very glad I did. I always buy myself a Christmas and Birthday Present. Love this so much, it's my third Kitchen-aid item, and most used one as well.The temperature control means I can make my herbal tea's, Coffee's and Its great for keeping the water warm with the thick walls. I made risotto with the water and didn't need to keep boiling the kettle to keep the water hot, the thermometer on the front fantastic. It's a talking point when people come to visit, they have seen them in the shops one of my friends left and went to buy one straight away!

After months of research I bought this kettle on 30/12 and am very happy with its performance. The classy design,choice of temperature ( my husband likes drinkable coffee & I hot beverages)no more arguments, quickness to heat, outer side of kettle doesn’t heat great safety feature !!

I have had this kettle for a week or so now and it is fantastic. Comfortable to pick up, pours beautifully, has a heat protected lid close spot and most importantly gets to set temperatures quickly and quietly. It looks and feels really lovely.

Love this kettle. We bought the candy apple red to match our new blender and love the colour! It seems to struggle to get to temperature when the water is close to minimum but it's hardly an issue. It's actually a reminder that i probably should put more water in it. Love the look, the colour, the quick boil, the bell that lets me know it's ready and it's a good weight.

Had the Breville Smart kettle which started to give problems due to its connection base.
This kitchen aid kettle has a better shape and size.
Love the mechanical temp selector as compared to the Breville that you have to cycle through every time.
No loud beeps, really solid handle. Pours well without drips.
Water stays hot/warm for really long (easily 4-5hours in winter).
Again, mechanical thermostat which I prefer.
Just to be clear, the insides are NOT plastic. Only the lid & filter which are standard.
1. I'd be interested to see how long the base connections will last as it's exactly the same as the Breville. The Breville unit started to have issues after 3 years. This unit has a 5 year household use guarantee so we will see. I'm hoping it can last a life time.
2. I wish the water level was on a different side (or two sides). But not a deal breaker.
3. The rubber/silicone feet for the base are too small. You need larger feet for better stability/suction as the base is much lighter than a filled kettle, when you lift/position/move the kettle, the base moves.
Time will tell but so far so good.

We brought this with our wedding gift money along with the matching toaster.
The only thing I would change is a louder ding when it's boiled only because I normally sit down to wait for it to go off than forget that I was waiting for it.

This kettle us awesome. Very quiet in operation, great looks and build. If it is reliable so be very happy. It's just very disappointing you can't get the matching cast iron finish 4 slice pro line toaster in Australia to match!!!
