[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well built product that performs exactly as promised. Other established appliance manufacturers need to take note and follow KitchenAids example of how to build a quality no-nonsense product.

Probably THE BEST Pro-summer grinder out there.
Yes, I broke the bottom glass vessel, it could be stronger. Have lived without it for years. May order another. Static still a problem so a bowl works about as well - just a bit messier. Broke the center disk off top trying to get it apart for cleaning - just put duct tape over sharp edges.
The calibration as I recall is a micro adjustable to compensate for wear of burrs. If you care to keep it on same setting for decades you might use it. After a decade or so of use I might have dialed main setting up a bit to keep grind right - still never messed with the micro. Cool that they included it.
I have returned a few burr grinders and can make do with a blade and even a hand crank in a pinch. But if you want the best grinder short of a true commercial unit, THIS IS IT.
After all... it's the KitchenAide of burr grinders!

We have had 2 problems with this grinder. While it does grind at a slower speed and much cooler than other grinders, beans become stuck in the entrance to the grinder. You have to stop grinding, remove the lower glass container, remove the beans from the hopper, remove the hopper and turn it upside down to get the beans dislodged. After having to do this several times grinding the same bag of beans, we found that we just have to stand there and put a couple tablespoons of beans in, let it grind, add a couple more tablespoons, etc. we get a good grind but it is terribly inconvenient. The other issue is the broken bottom glass container. I've been told we can't get a replacement. Using anything else makes a big mess. I've been fashioning something out of parchment paper. Once again, very inconvenient. I wonder if the people who design these things actually use them...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually don't write reviews, but this grinder has bought caffeine goodness into my life every morning since I purchased it and I wish to share its qualities with all of you. When I was researching burr grinders I was astonished at the difference in the price and size of these grinders. I wanted a quality grinder at a reasonable price and something that would fit in my kitchen without having to tear down a wall or two in order for it to fit. And how about a grinder that is simple to operate? Lets put the beans in the grinder, hit on and let the grinding begin! And the end product...a well ground, delicious, caffeinated good morning to you! So this Kitchen Aid Burr Grinder has met all of those expectations. It is well made, extremely durable, excellent quality and it is very easy to operate and clean. It is only approximately 14 inches in height and takes up very little room on your counter. And a added bonus is that it looks really smart (contemporary) too! You have the option of 8 different grinds; a must for a family that has varying coffee likes. (pour over, french press, expresso, other) As for the noise of this machine wonder...its a coffee grinder. Its somewhat noisy for a few seconds while its grinding your favorite coffee beans. This is a great coffee grinder. Buy it. I think you will like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for about a month and think it was money well spent. As with all KitchenAid products it does not disappoint.
I bought this two months ago after my old burr coffee grinder stopped working. This one is considerably louder - to the point that my wife wondered whether it was supposed to be making such a loud noise as it grinds. Some of the pieces seemed loose too (it vibrates a lot), and the ground receptacle at the bottom isn't flush - so a lot of coffee grounds escape. So it's messier and louder... but it produces a good and consistent grind. Works well for coarser French press, medium drip/pour over and moka and fine for espresso. So I stick with the mess and noise. Plus I bought it already.
