Great addition to my kitchen. Now I can have on-demand ground coffee anytime. No matter preference. Drip coffee, French press, or espresso! The only drawback is supplied receptacle is fragile and does let grounds make somewhat of a mess.

This grinder has great variability when it comes to grind size. It is really pretty to look at! And it cleans so easily; the glass jar really makes a difference. Only con that I can think of is it is loud, but all burr grinders I have ever had were loud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Buying this product is no cheap venture. . .however, it's clearly a grinder that will last many years and be asthetically pleasing in the process ;-). The only thing I miss is the automatic measurement shut off feature. My husband is good at eye-balling measurements but not so much my thing.

Uniform grind, built to last

Easy to adjust for the needed grind and the ground coffee is uniform. Noisier than expected, but a bit quieter than my old grinder from another company. Coffee doesn't stick to the glass ground jar, which is a major improvement over the electrostatic stickiness of my old unit's plastic bin. I weight one batch and then grind it, which leads to my one disappointment: The feeder jar doesn't have a smooth transition to the metal inlet to the grinder. A circle of beans gets stuck at the feeder rim at the end of the run. They have to be coaxed in using the nice cleaning brush provided. The unit seems built to last for decades, like many other KitchenAid appliances.

I have had a KA burr grinder (this model) for more than ten years. Comparing it to much pricier, “professional” grinders, the KA is very comparable. The only reason I’m giving it four stars, instead of five, is that it has only one click stop setting between each full setting on the grind knob. Sometimes, depending on the beans, the mid setting is just a bit too coarse or fine and I need to hold the knob in an in-between position. Kitchen Aid could really improve this product by having three click stops between each full (numbered) stop. Then, I think it could compete with any of the “best” out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this burr grinder for a while now and I love it. I love the industrial design, feel and look of it, being metal and glass. The large adjustment wheel is nice with solid clicks when notched into each grind setting….I haven’t had any major issues with it, just a minor lock up or blockage which was easily cleared, from the frontal access to the gear mechanism , by the large screws on the front with access to burr grind gears. This burr grinder I love, I’ve owned others and even have a very nice burr hand grinder which is a sweet little solid milled tool, but the kitchen aid grinder is the one l love…..for looks….as it has an artistic, eye pleasing design with a functional use….all to bring together a great cup of coffee

Retro Style Coffee Grinder!

I enjoy using my Kitchen aid Burr Grinder, and the cheerful, retro style of this appliance looks great on my kitchen counter, too! It is very easy to adjust the size of the grind, so that the coffee can be brewed in a drip pot or in a French press.
